We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Espinoza and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amber, how do you think about risk?
Risk has shaped everything I’ve built. I didn’t have a roadmap, just a vision and a relentless belief that everything would work out, even if it didn’t go as planned. Taking risks is how Unapologetic Worldwide was born. It wasn’t just about starting a brand, it was about starting a movement rooted in truth, healing, and radical self-acceptance. And let’s be real, not everyone was ready for that.

We did it anyway.

What people don’t always see is how hard it was to risk speaking up about the things most people stay silent about: abuse, addiction, grief, and shame. I had to own the parts of my story that once made me feel broken, but I knew that hiding wasn’t going to heal me, and it definitely wasn’t going to help anyone else. So I chose to speak my truth and reclaim my power for my daughters and the women who came before me who didn’t have a voice.

I’ve been through some of the worst already, so what’s left to be afraid of? Risk isn’t the enemy! Silence is! And comfort zones don’t create change. Unapologetic is about showing up boldly, even when it’s uncomfortable. That’s where the power is. That’s where freedom begins.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Unapologetic Worldwide has never been just a business, it’s a movement, a mindset, and a lifestyle. It was born from my own healing journey, during one of the darkest seasons of my life. I created it for the versions of us that have been silenced, shamed, overlooked, or told we were “too much” or “not enough.” It’s a space where people can feel seen in their realness, whether that’s through our empowering events, wellness-based mobile bar experiences, healing tea rituals, digital self-help tools, or raw storytelling.

What sets Unapologetic apart is that we don’t just talk about healing, we live it. We hold space for the messy middle, the uncomfortable truths, and the beauty in our broken parts. Everything I create, from clothing to mocktail menus to self-love workbooks, is rooted in authenticity, emotional wellness, and radical self-acceptance. I’m proud that we’re not just creating products or services, we’re creating safe spaces. That’s rare.

Getting to this point was not easy, and we still have a lot of work to do. I am still figuring it out myself. I didn’t come from money. I’m a single mother who has battled trauma, chronic illness, financial hardship, and deep grief. I’ve had to learn how to alchemize pain into purpose. And every obstacle that tried to stop me just made me more determined to keep going, for myself, my daughters, and everyone else who needed a reminder that their voice, story, and presence matter.

Some of the biggest lessons I’ve learned are:

You don’t need permission to be who you are.

Healing is a journey, not a brand aesthetic.

Community is everything—do not try to do it alone.

And the scariest steps usually lead to the most freeing chapters.

What I want the world to know about Unapologetic Worldwide is that we’re here to shake things up. We’re here for the misfits, the survivors, the truth, speakers, the healers, the ones doing the inner work in a world that profits off our silence. We don’t play small here. We don’t filter our story to make it easier to digest. We show up anyway.

This is about more than business, it’s about building a new world, one where being real is respected, healing is normalized, and authenticity is celebrated.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit, I’d want to give them a week that reflects the way I live, intentional, rooted in healing, full of fun.

We’d kick things off with a picnic in Morrison, right by the river, one of my favorite grounding spots. Peaceful, quiet, and just enough nature to reset. After that, we’d grab some bubble tea in River Point and catch a movie to ease into the week.

We’d check out Green Spaces, a community hub where creativity, entrepreneurship, and good energy collide. Then head to Tetra Lounge for a garden-style session with my herbalist moms and community family. It’s always chill and full of love.

Midweek, I’d take them to Indian Hot Springs, because everyone deserves to soak, release, and restore. It’s one of my favorite ways to tap into rest as a form of resistance.

We would then float into Yoga on the Roof while @ag303 is spinning, easily one of the most beautiful ways to experience movement and music with a view. And we’d definitely make time for a show at Red Rocks, because there’s nothing like live show under the stars.

On a Tuesday night, we’d swing through Inner Circle at River for their open mic and community dialogue night. Real people, raw stories, and so much talent in one space.

Dinner at Chulas in Englewood would be a must. It’s woman-owned, full of soul, and the food never disappoints. Follwed by drinks another great rooftop view at Avanti

And we’d close out the week at Jazz in the Park at City Park on Sunday, blankets, snacks, music, and community. Just soaking it all in under the sky with people you love. That’s the kind of peace I live for.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There was a time in my life when I was utterly broken, physically sick, drowning in grief, filled with rage, and feeling completely hopeless. I had no idea where to turn. One day, something pulled me to the library. I didn’t even know what I was looking for, I just knew I needed something different. That’s when I found Radical Forgiveness by Colin Tipping (rest in peace). Let me tell you, that book cracked something open in me.

It introduced me to a way of seeing life I had never considered before, about soul contracts, karmic cycles, and the deeper purpose behind our pain. It didn’t erase my hurt, but it gave me a new lens. It helped me begin releasing the grief and hate I had been carrying in my heart for far too long. That was the beginning of my healing journey, and I will forever be grateful for that divine moment of alignment.

But I didn’t do it alone. There are so many people and moments that shaped this journey, but I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to the individuals who reminded me of my power when I forgot. The friends, mentors, and even strangers who spoke life into me when I was rebuilding from scratch, emotionally, spiritually, and financially.

Special shoutout to Ruby (@guideyourvibe), my mindset coach, who helped me reconnect with my power, and to Joey (@benjaminstackems), who taught me how to rebuild my financial confidence after abuse and reminded me to give myself more credit. Both brought clarity and grace into spaces where I once carried fear and shame.

Also, I want to recognize @thehighlyconnected- a platform that has given me support, visibility, and genuine connections in building my brand.
