We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Satterfield and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amber, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea of my business came from such a deep, person journey that I went through. I had spent the majority of my teens and 20’s living with chronic illnesses that doctors didn’t have the answers to. It wasn’t until I found Functional Medicine that I got my life back! It was a heroic journey through the ups and downs of my healing process as I learned more about how the body works and that its natural state is really one of health. Once I was able to heal my body I was inspired to go back to school to study Nutrition and Functional Medicine so that I could show up in this world to be a beacon of light for people who are suffering like someone once did for me.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Feel Good Nourishment is a full-service Functional Medicine Coaching Telehealth practice where we focus on each one of our amazing clients with personalized care. We discover the root causes of what is going on in each body systemically by reviewing current labs, ordering new ones as necessary, evaluating a rigorous symptom checklist and intake form and spending quality time with each of our clients to ensure they feel heard and get outstanding results. With an abundance of information, each client is designed a personalized health plan to build up the foundation of their health and clear out what isn’t serving them so they can find vitality in their bodies again. Starting this beautiful business of full-service care had been quite the journey in the modern world of health care. We require the clients we take on to be up for healing their bodies and not just looking for a “pill for their ill”. The biggest challenge we have found is that so many people are looking for a quick fix – but it’s in our greatest challenges is where we find our greatest gift.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am a huge fan of music and concerts so I would definitely recommend going to Red Rocks Amphitheater for a show; especially at night, where you can see the Denver lights in the back drop. It is quite an experience. As for food, I am a HUGE foodie, but due to what has inspired me to start my business has also required that for me to stay healthy I must stay gluten and dairy free due to its inflammatory properties. This being said, Denver has an abundance of amazing restaurants that don’t even make me miss them. Two of my favorites that I would recommend to anyone are: Vital Roots and Just BE Kitchen.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my healing and inspiration to go on this amazing and fulfilling journey to my Functional Medicine Doctor, Dr. Marie Starling, in Denver Colorado who came into my life when I was desperate for healing and knew in my gut that my body could actually heal itself given the right tools, guidance and support. Thanks to Dr. Starling for giving me all of those things; my life back.
