Meet Amira Ahmadi | Small Business Owner & Energy Healing Practitioner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Amira Ahmadi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amira, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Aura Luna Collective started because I felt like there was a niche that needed to be filled in the small business market. People like to support small businesses but it’s not always accessible and you don’t want to always have to place orders from different sites (especially with how high shipping prices are).
I knew a lot of wonderful small businesses and the idea of having their products in one place to make it more accessible was what really pushed me to make this business a reality. Knowing you are supporting multiple small businesses at one time is truly a wonderful feeling.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business, Aura Luna Collective, started in November 2022 and launched in February 2023. I am the one behind everything… I built the website, connected with all the brands I carry and do the day-to-day work such as ordering products, updating all our socials and hand packing every single order.
Our products are sourced from other small businesses– whether it’s the handmade deodorant from the family farm in Tennessee or the hand drawn greeting cards, every single item in our shop is from a small business. Stocking quality products that truly have good-for-you values and ingredients matters and I only stock things that I’ve personally tested/used.
It’s definitely not easy constantly trying to compete with big box stores as a small business. It takes a lot more work to get your name and brand out there. The majority of my business comes from personal interaction and relationships that I develop through events and pop ups! I put hand written thank you notes in my order and truly show appreciation for people who chose to support a small business.
The best way to build success is to truly be a brand that you would want to buy from yourself. I work on fulfilling orders the same day and following up to make sure orders are delivered.
I want everyone to know that supporting small businesses truly makes a difference and every single order gets a “woohoo” on our end!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A trip to the mountains would definitely be on the list of things to do– I love going to Breckenridge, riding the gondola, walking around lake Dillon and eating at Piante Pizza!
Another trip would be down to Castle Rock to go to the mini incline and park at Philip S. Miller Park then stop in at The Barn for some shopping. We would eat at Beau Thai near the outlets.
We would go axe throwing at Thrashin’ Axes in Parker and take in a Rapids Soccer Game at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to show appreciation for those who have always encouraged me to follow my dreams… even when my dreams take me on tons of detours and adventures. My mom has always been a rock and has supported everything I’ve worked on. I would also like to thank my husband who always listens even when I start a sentence with “so I’ve been thinking” and he knows there’s something else coming, ha! My kids remind me to always have fun… and I think even as adults we need to remind ourselves that we should be enjoying what we’re doing and that work doesn’t always have to feel like work.
I would also like to give a shoutout to my Pranic Healing mentor and friend, KG– I wouldn’t be where I am in my spiritual practice and journey without his guidance and teaching.
