We had the good fortune of connecting with Amy Tallent and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amy, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I knew from a young age that I wanted to work for myself. Freedom is one of the most important things to me and each business we build has to represent that.

If I look back at my past, I see a clear direction to our real estate firm. I was raised by a custom home builder, have moved over 30 times, have worked for multiple government organizations around Northern Colorado, and I have a huge passion for helping people find homes that help them live their best lives.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m incredibly proud that our realty firm focuses on helping people find homes that help them lead their best lives. We speak from personal experience when we know there are homes that drain you and there are homes that restore you. This is our passion. The home we help you find should bring you peace, joy, wellness, and rest.

The most difficult part of our business is the ever-changing real estate market. Currently, we are in a strong seller’s market and it can be a challenge for the offer from a buyer to be chosen. However, we have had great success helping people sell their current home for the maximum return on investment and then find their next home without giving away everything. It’s our true passion to help people feel comfortable physically, mentally, and financially in their home.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We love Northern Colorado! If you had a day to spend in this area here is what we’d tell you to do. First, start it off at Urban Egg in Johnstown. Grab a delicious breakfast and drink and then head on over to Scheels which is within walking distance from the restaurant. If you haven’t been to Scheels, you are in for a treat! Enjoy the massive fish tanks, ferris wheel, bowling, and some of the best shopping in NoCo. Then head over to Berthoud to check out TPC Golf Course. You can complete a round of golf and end with a fantastic lunch! Next head up to Fort Collins and visit Twin Silos Park. This is the coolest park in Northern Colorado and has something for everyone! As you finish up your day, drive over to Greeley and enjoy the best restaurant, Gourmet Grub where Chef Justin & Manager Cheyenne have created an excellent menu!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband is my best friend. There is absolutely no way we’d have the life we do without him guiding us. He calls me the unstoppable force and him the immovable rock and together we make an incredible pair in life, faith, and business.
