We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea Testa and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrea, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
The list of things that make me happy is endless, and I’m thankful for that. I feel happiness and joy when I make others laugh. I am a silly person and I like to say that I’m down to earth. When I make others laugh I know that at least at that moment, they are happy, and that makes me happy in return. I love to help people- whether its by brightening their day or through teaching them about self-love, how to care for their bodies through wellness practices, or how to integrate exercises (that they actually enjoy) into their lifestyles.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Team Testa Wellness works with youth and young adults by combining wellness education and movement. We teach our clients how to feel strong, confident, and happy in their own skin.

I’m proud of our team- Team Testa Wellness coaches have unique backgrounds and we love the variety that each coach brings to our little family. We have coaches that work with youth with special needs, coaches that have backgrounds as first responders, others that are skilled in working with performance athletes, and everything in between.

It was a challenging road to get to where we are today but every moment has been worth it- change is a good thing! We’re very flexible and go with the flow and I think that plays a large role in where we are now.

We’ve learned that there is strength in numbers and it’s more than okay to ask for help. More often than not, people are willing and WANT to help because they have been in your shoes. Ask experts for their advice and ask others for their opinions!

We love what we do- I think that’s the coolest thing about Team Testa Wellness. I am so thankful that I am so in love with my job- sometimes it doesn’t feel real.

Our goal is to support, encourage, and inspire- we care.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love when friends visit Denver- I have a list of my go-to places! If I had a friend in town for a week or so we would plan to spend a couple of days in the mountains- that would be the first item on our itinerary and we would work around that piece. Camping would absolutely make the list!
After we add our mountains/camping days onto the list, I’d start pasting restaurants and breweries into the days that we are closer to Denver. Top of the list for food & drink- The Family Jones, Mr. Oso, Safta, Little Man, Cerebral, WeldWerks, Wiley Roots, Awake, (and any of the coffee shops near by- SUCH great coffee in Denver).
After those items are added I would add in a stop to Feral, Rare Finds, Milk Market, and Modern Nomad.
…can’t forget bouldering- I belong to Spot Denver so we’d definitely spend some time there.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate a shoutout to Brynne Goldberg, the owner of Peak Pursuits Professional Counseling. Not only is she an incredible therapist who specializes in working with athletes and individuals struggling with anxiety, but Brynne is also an incredible friend and supporter!
