We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela Vargas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angela, what matters most to you?
Kindness. I think there’s multiple values that are very important to me but I would say there are two key ones both in my business and my life:

1. Consistency: Because I used to lack this one… A lot. And I realized at some point that, without it, I just can’t get anywhere in life! Simple as that! When things get a bit complicated or “hard”, motivation may go away but consistency is and will be key to success.

2. Transparency: Another one that I used to struggle with and I’ve realized that without transparency, there’s pretty much NOTHING. Transparency involves respect, care and many other things!!

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is a combination of many things 🙂

I am a birth doula and I absolutely LOVE all things birth and maternity/motherhood related! But, I am also a coach and a mentor and I am absolutely passionate about helping other women understand where their blockages are when it comes to manifesting and living the life they are meant to live and have! We are full of limiting beliefs, things we acquired when we were younger, things that we STILL absorb from society and take in as “truths” even if they’re not necessarily that so I LOVE exploring these beliefs with people and helping realize that THEY HAVE THE POWER TO TRANSFORM THEM! While there is an external “reality”, there is also an INTERNAL reality and that one’s way more powerful. So, with my mentorship: GOING INWARD, we focus on exactly that. GOING INWARD to transform your external reality 🙂

What sets me apart from others is how much I value and care about my clients! We become friends, we’re not just client/mentor or mentee/mentor, is a deeper bond and relationship! Same goes for my doula clients. I really value them and I truly make that known!!

In terms of how I got here, it all started because I went through a really tough time of not knowing who I was, not knowing what I wanted to do with my life, not knowing what my priorities were, what was important and what not, etc so I started studying coaching and as many energy healing techniques as I became familiar with. Then I started applying that to myself and then I decided it was time to work with others!! As far as being a doula, I didn’t have the birth experience that I wanted and when I started processing everything that had happened, I realized how frustrated, angry, disappointed and sad I was, I realized I had a lot of unprocessed trauma and I wanted to do something about it, so I became a doula to support others throughout their pregnancy, birth and postpartum journeys 🙂

I have overcome multiple challenges but I do think that the biggest challenge was my lack of believe in myself and my business. Once I was able to shift my mindset and work on those limiting beliefs, everything changed.

What I want the world to know about my business, myself and my story is that I CARE about the people I work with! I do not pretend that I’ll “save your life” or anything like that, I will always tell you that my sole purpose is to reconnect YOU with YOUR power so that you can move forward in life and get to where you want to be, be who you TRULY want to be. Be your most authentic self!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love to show guests around!! 😀

If we were to have a coffee date, I would bring them to Retreat Bakery (Fort Collins) or Feel Love Coffee (Loveland).

If we were to go out for food, OF COURSE, we would go to the new Colombian restaurant: Yellow Crunch. And we would also visit my favorite Indian place: Taj Mahal restaurant.

We would hang out around all the natural areas such as: Coyote Ridge, Devil’s Backbone, Lake Loveland and Lory State Park!! 🙂 We would definitely visit the Rocky Mountains National Park and we would probably go to Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, too!! 🙂

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There’s multiple people that I would love to give some shoutouts to! The number one shoutout will forever belong to my husband, my daughter and my two unborn children. They are the foundation of all of this!!

The second person I would love to honor here is my friend Jenni. Moving to a different country (because I am from Colombia so I lived there most of my life) and not knowing anyone in this area, she has been a lifesaver with her sweet energy, her support and her incredible skills to build community and connections!

Other than that, as I said, there’s too many people I could thank and honor but most of them don’t live here in the States so I’ll just say that I wanna give a huge shoutout to all my family, friends and mentors!! 🙂
