We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashlei Vincent and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashlei, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
The freedom of creating your own hours and being your own boss appealed to me, but I’ve always craved a career path that allowed me to pursue my hobbies while making a living. I love the challenge of making art for another person or their business more than I ever anticipated!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My friends would say I “have an eye for things.” My business is two-sided: content creation and media consultation. I am an artist and graphic designer first, and I’m passionate about creating something new from any vibe, aesthetic, or even two-word inspiration that my clients bring me. My love for logo and brand creation has grown into an in-depth understanding of any audience’s wants and needs when a business is creating an online presence. This kind of analytical artistic ability is many years in the making. I have backgrounds in theatre, early childhood education, human psychology, and marketing. My brand is about growth and the need for adaptability that comes with the immortality of branding.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in Greeley, but if my best friend were here for a week, we would visit all of my favorite spots in Northern Colorado! We’re definitely visiting Le Petit French Bakery in Greeley for melt-in-your-mouth pastries, and I love pizza & garlic knots at Right Coast downtown. In Fort Collins, I’d take my friend to Horsetooth (of course!) then we’d explore the shops in downtown FoCo after a lunch at Illegal Pete’s! Since they’re here for a week, we definitely have to catch a show at The Moxi in Greeley or The Aggie in Fort Collins.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A friend of mine owns a local business here in Colorado, and her business advice has been absolutely invaluable. Lex, of Olive Blue Artistry, is always there for a second opinion or much-needed life hacks. Her support as my business came into being has been amazing, and seeing her work hard every day is an inspiration. She deserves more than a shout-out!
