We had the good fortune of connecting with Bea Bogan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bea, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Fearless Expression is a creative endeavor I decided to explore after now being a full time photographer for about 3 three years. Photography has been my passion for over 10 years now, which has also allowed me to always be open to new creative concepts, content and connection that are presented to me. Fearless Expression was created at a time in 2022 when I was really feeling uninspired with my photography craft and my business. I needed to find balance and another to express my talents that rang true to me. During this uninspired time, I asked myself: “ If I could do anything in the world to make me happy, what would I do?” Fearless Expression was created to help me bring to light more things I love doing. I love photography, nature, food, travel and adventures. Fearless Expression is a new addition to my Bea (Photography) Empire that allows me to express myself more freely and creatively through my YouTube Channel “Fearless Expression” and blog post on my website: www.BeaPhotography.net

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My craft is being a photographer and a creator in general! I consider myself to be a very creative person and I am open to exploring it. Whether it is photography, graphic design, videography, painting, dancing, blogging, I take my time to express myself through. Everything created with Fearless Expression of myself. From logo, editing, marketing, video ideas; I have used creative skills to bring these ideas to life! Being able to bring these ideas to life on my own is what I am most proud of. Self-teaching myself how to do certain skills is definitely a journey that has helped me grow my photography business and currently Fearless Expression. It’s definitely not easy but with focus, heart, passion, hard work, support and patience with myself, I am overcoming many challenges. The current lesson I am learning is slow and steady results yield a better outcome. With that I am also learning to go with the flow, I know the journey I have chosen for myself is walking by faith. With that you have to lose trying to control the outcome and just be easy. Even when mishaps come along I am learning to just take a moment to try to find a solution versus stressing myself out. I want people to know that Fearless Expression is here to bring people together. I want to travel the world with Fearless Expression and collaborate with many different people! Fearless Expression is a brand I design to allow myself to be fearless when it comes to expressing myself and my many crafts. I have a few things in the works , like touring events, interviews, and more adventures with myself! Reach out and connect with me !

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am originally from Akron, Ohio but Colorado definitely has my heart! I’ve mostly spent my time in Colorado Springs. I am a nature girl so I definitely try to spend my time hiking in the mountains. For a taste of that, I would recommend the Garden of Gods. I know that it is a popular tourist spot. From there I would go grab some food. If you like seafood, I would recommend The Juicy Seafood. Yummy ! If you want to experience more versatile restaurants, bars and shops: I would recommend Old Colorado City, Historic District. Not only is the architecture beautiful of the businesses, but there are awesome local businesses you can support! If you’re adventurous like me and like long scenic drives, I would recommend heading to the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park area. The whole ride is a sight to see!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes! I give a shoutout to my family. I have a small family of my sister, cousin and kitty but they play a big part in being the support I need to keep going. 2nd would be people I have encountered on my life journey. If there’s one thing I am learning is the inspiration I get when I connect with people. Whether it’s just for a moment or years of encounters. I appreciate all the people that have come into my life and had personal experiences with me. I believe it is important we take more time and value in connecting with people. Not just through social media, but with personal encounters. It’s so rewarding! Thank you.
