We had the good fortune of connecting with Bentley Armstrong and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bentley, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
My ultimate goal is to be a World Champion and to be apart of the PGA.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m 8 years old and started golfing when I was almost 6 years old, In just that short amount of time I have gone from just a kid swinging a club aimlessly to being ranked 44th in the World in Jr golf. In the little amount of time I have been playing I have already accomplished more than most adults, I have over 60 top 5 finishes, 2 season championships, low round of 34 (9 holes), and have qualified for Worlds 3 out of the 3 years I was eligible where they select the top 100 kids in the world to compete. I had my first hole in 1 at age 7 and have been apart of 7 regional tournaments, 4 state invitationals, 3 National championships, and 4 World invitationals. Even being so young I have learned so many valuable lessons, for instance no day or round is going to be like the next. Your success today doesn’t make you who are tomorrow. I have learned the importance of hard work, determination, and never letting my failures conquer me. I spend 5-6 days about 2-3 hours a day practicing, working out, and perfecting my game.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are several people I owe all my success to, first off my parents Nathan and Sadie Armstrong for all the loving support and the endless hours and financial sacrifice they have provided me to help pursue my goals. Next Bobby Taylor for coaching me from the very beginning and never giving up on me and giving me all the tools needed for success going forward. Next my performance coach Mark Cormier for pushing me to get stronger, faster, and all around better physically. Finally my golf coach Trey Stelling, Trey has been an instrumental part to me and my golf game, he never lets me settle and always pushes me to get a little bit better everyday. He is always there for support and to help me build confidence, I sincerely appreciate the time and sacrifice he has given up to help me in my journey.
