We had the good fortune of connecting with Beth Knox Gomez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Beth, what do you attribute your success to?
As a business owner in a continually expanding and evolving world, I think it is essential to be flexible , open minded, and willing to educate yourself. The only thing that is constant is change – embracing and leaning into that is the foundation of having a business that can successfully respond and grow during fluctuations! That being said – I credit a couple of factors in growing my business… First to me was the quality of the products I am creating. I hand craft in small batches, using organic oils and butters, then blend with organic and/or wild harvested essential oils and cbd oil for benefit and scent. I want to present a product that we can feel GOOD about putting on our skin, which is the largest organ we have. Second, but arguably of equal importance, is the ability to delegate. This did not come easy to me. I am a one man circus at this point, and knowing and understanding what my strengths are, (product creation and development and relationships) and are not (professional branding, marketing, and this list is still expanding… ) has been absolutely key in taking my luxe organic cbd facial serum, for example, and helping get it to the person who will love that product as much as I do!

What should our readers know about your business?
I have been a body worker and devoted yogini for the last twenty plus years. I have been doing grant work with the UCHealth Breast Cancer patients, providing oncology massage and yoga, along with other self care support for the last ten years. I love this work – I feel so fortunate to be able to provide some care to these patients! In working with this group, I started crafting cbd and essential oil bath salts and bath bombs for them to bring home with them after their body work session, to prolong the therapeutic and self care experience. From here the bath and body products blossomed. The more I learned – the more I wanted to create! I now make several soaking salt and bath bomb formulations, lotion bars, pain oils and salves, deodorant, massage and body oils., and some skin and facial care products. All products I use and love!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would hit the Hornet on South Broadway for brunch. In the summer we would do some nearby hiking in nearby foothills of Morrison or Evergreen or paddle boarding in Confluence Park or on Sloans Lake to take in the amazing weather and sites.
In the winter we might grab an earlier breakfast in Golden and head up to Loveland to ski for the day. If the weather was unaccommodating we might see what exhibits are at the Art Museum or the Museum of Nature and Science.
Dinnner would be at the Mercury Cafe or Root Down to enjoy organic food and look at local art and maybe take in some live music!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Ivan Gomez, my husband and biggest supporter and advocate – this wouldn’t be possible without his support!

Sara Cripe and Sophia Myers at Connect Graffiks & Marketing – website design, professional branding, and all other “overwhelming” matters – providing guidance at every step! Also wouldn’t be possible without these two creative, amazing, and thoughtful women!
