Meet Beth Soldner | Administrative Virtual Assistant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Beth Soldner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Beth, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started Soldner Virtual Solutions out of a deep desire to stay home with my children during the day, while also being able to bring in an income for our family. I have a degree in Elementary Education that I used for a few years before having children, but being a military spouse made it really time consuming, frustrating, and expensive to transfer licensure every 2 – 3 years. After 2 rounds of license transferring, I knew teaching wasn’t going to be something I wanted to pursue anymore. Our first child was born in 2021, and SVS was born about 6 months later! It’s been a total blast owning my own business and helping other businesses to grow and thrive.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
This was never a career that I imagined for myself, and every day I feel is a “pinch me” type moment that I get to work from home, with my kids, doing what I love. When I talk to prospective clients, I always tell them that as weird as it sounds, being a mom is my biggest strength in business. It has made me master time-management, organization, & communication. I know when to delegate & when to push through. It’s taught me to be flexible. All of these things translate so well to business in so many ways.
It’s been almost 4 years since I started SVS. I’ve gained all of my clients by word of mouth and referrals. I take great pride in that fact because it tells me we are doing things right and helping businesses succeed. Nothing about this journey has been easy. I’ve never known owning a business without an infant or a toddler running around destroying my house while I’m on a phone call (ha!). Overcoming the challenge of being a work from home mom is a day to day mountain to climb. I’ve learned really quickly how to manage my time wisely & to hire a ROCKSTAR team who is there to help when necessary.
Soldner Virtual Solutions exists to help other businesses grow and thrive. We want our clients to continue to LOVE their own businesses- so we like to take those time consuming, day-to-day admin tasks from their schedule. Time is such a valuable resource. We know and understand that deeply as moms & VAs. That’s why we love giving business owners their time back.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Colorado Springs is such a fantastic area to explore, hike, eat, etc! I absolutely love all of the things there are to do around here.
If I had a friend visiting, here’s what I would suggest:
– Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (because kids, and because it’s awesome)
– Garden of the Gods – there are incredible photo opportunities, hiking, wildlife
– Manitou Incline Hike – the view at the top is incredible, and you’ll feel so rewarded when you finish!
– Pike’s Peak – whether you drive or ride the COG, the top is incredible and you need the donuts – so good.
– Manitou Springs Penny Arcade & More (also because kids – it’s a blast for littles!)
Food:
– Border Burger in Manitou Springs
– View House
– Guadalajara Mexican in Falcon
– Mary’s Mountain Cookies (yum!)
– Flying Horse Steakhouse

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I always have to give a shout out to The Lord, & my faith first- so many prayers and promptings went into starting my business. I am so blessed and grateful for His provision.
My husband is up next- James, thank you so much for being my biggest supporter & number 1 fan. When I first came to you with my thoughts about starting SVS, you never once hesitated when you told me to go for it. Words cannot explain how grateful I am for your constant encouragement, help, and brainpower. I love you!
I have to shout out my two kids as well- J & E, I love you both to the moon & back. Thank you for always being willing to “help” me work and for being the best little cheering squad day after day.
My family- my parents, in-laws, & siblings deserve a quick shout out as well. Their support and encouragement have been unwavering over the last few years. They’re always quick to recommend me to others and that means more than they could ever know.
Last but not least, MY CLIENTS! Ah! Without them, there would be no SVS. Thank you for taking a chance and allowing me into your businesses. I know it’s so hard to let someone else come in and weave themselves throughout your current workspace. I am so grateful to each and every one of you who took a chance on a virtual assistant team of moms to help your business scale to the best it can be. Each of you are so incredible to work with – I enjoy working alongside you all!!
