Meet Bianca Hinojos | Boutique Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bianca Hinojos and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bianca, how do you think about risk?
It was definitely a risk starting a business in the middle of a pandemic. I decided to open my boutique because I felt it was the right time. I had already been thinking about what kind of business to open and I just wanted to do something I love to do. If you don’t try it…you will never know the outcome. Opening a business is a risk because you don’t know if you will succeed in it, specially during a pandemic! So far it’s going well, and like any business it takes hard work and dedication in order for it to succeed!

What should our readers know about your business?
I am most proud of all the work I put into this business! I put it together in less than 3 months and had it up in running immediately. My friends and family tell me how astonished they are for putting this business idea together so quickly, i have always been a go getter and I strive to achieve my goals and my business is an example of that! I always had a dream… to be in the fashion industry!! I always believed in looking good, no matter what you are doing or where you are going! Growing up conservative, my parents and my faith always taught me you can dress nice and fashionable but always keeping in mind your values. I had a couple modeling gigs when I was younger, just for fun, and then I started college and started my career in the medical field. After 14 years in the medical field, I decided my calling was elsewhere, doing something that I have always loved…. Fashion! So here I am, giving it a shot! Thank you for reading my story and I hope I can inspire others to live their dreams!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So for breakfast spots I would take them to: The Rose Cafe where they have the best Huevos Rancheros in town! The Peak Deli where they serve the best breakfast burritos and breakfast bagels in town! Higher Grounds for the best London Fog in town!
For lunch or dinner:
Kips Grill for the best Shrimp tacos!
Thai Pagosa for the best Thai anywhere!!
Alley House if you want something fancy and delicious!
For a relaxing time:
The Springs resort where they have the deepest Hot Springs in Colorado is a great spot to try different temperature pools and relax under the sun all day!
Activities:
If it’s winter…. You have to try Skiing or Snowboarding at the best and most snow in Colorado resort.. Wolf Creek!!
Snowshoeing and Cross Country skiing is another fun winter activity to do in Pagosa.
In summer…. Hiking is a fun and active thing to do in Pagosa. So many trails to choose from! Mountain biking as well! Paddleboarding at our many lakes is a fun and relaxing activity!
Nightlife:
The Neon Mallard is a must do!!! Sit next to the fire pit outside with the bartenders mixing you up some great drinks and just relaxing and catching up on life!!
Shopping:
And you can’t forget the shopping!! First and foremost shopping at the best boutique in Pagosa… The Emerald Fox Boutique
But of course I would take them to the other shops as well, there are so many great shops in town!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would say my husband is my biggest supporter. He has always supported my “crazy” ideas! He is a successful business owner as well and he has taught me how to treat customers and run my business so a huge shoutout to him for always being there for me! I couldn’t of done this without his support!
