We had the good fortune of connecting with Birdie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Birdie, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my business is the relationships that are built. The clientele I serve lets me into the most intimate and personal parts of their lives. This goes beyond a business relationship. Trust is a must in my practice. I don’t have a business where I serve someone one time and send them along the way but it is a continued relationship and a process we go through together. The better the relationship the better the outcome. I truly care for everyone I come in contact with and want the most benevolent outcome for them.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I believe the best part of my businesses would be that I wear several hats well. I am able to find a stable balance between my Massage Therapy practice, my Doula practice and energy work. I am able to incorporate all of these together as well as separately. It can be very tough to run a business with several different hats and I am learning to master this beautifully. I truly believe I have not only found my calling and purpose but I have found something that I has added spark to my daily life and it’s not just a business for me it is a lifestyle that I take tremendous pride in it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I absolutely love this question. Being a Colorado native has led me to several amazing gems in the city, even more so allowed me to watch people I know flourish in their businesses. There is no way we could not go to the famous five points, one of Colorado’s oldest historically black neighborhoods where legends such as Billie Holiday played in the bars and clubs. This would land us first at Welton Street Cafe and have at it with their Menu, the catfish and honey hots are my go to. We would go to city park with our lawn chair s and blankets and indulge in the sounmds of Jazz in the Par We would most definitely have a Spa day at On The Go Wellness

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
