Meet Liz Tarricone | Creative Hypnosis Practitioner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Liz Tarricone and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Liz, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I love being creative and I love hypnosis! Ultimately, I am pursuing a creative career because it influences growth and healing in so many ways. Hypnosis is a highly focused and profoundly creative state of mind. When in the hypnotic state, we use insightful, vividly abstract imagery and positive words to change our perspectives. As a hypnotist, musician, actor and writer, I’ve decided to combine creative action with hypnosis as a unique way to use the human body, mind, and spirit to build self-confidence and peace of mind, while healing sadness and anxiety. EVERYONE has the ability to be creative – including those who do not consider themselves to be. I absolutely love teaching clients to open up this part of the mind in order to view life and self with a new perspective.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My practice, Healthy Heights Hypnosis, is Colorado-based; however, I have clients in and out of the state, since I am able to hypnotize anyone as long as I can see them. For the non-local clients, we use Zoom video chat, and it is just as effective as coming into my lovely office. I am not the average hypnotherapist – because I combine hypnosis with intuitive movement, sound healing, improvisation, mind(ful) exercises, and teachings. I have a background in music, theatre, and of course, hypnosis. Prior to my work as a hypnotist, I worked at a technology company, a life sciences company, and a surgical device company. As much as I enjoyed those jobs (and learned a lot!), creativity was missing from my career and from my personal alignment. One day, the universe dropped the idea of hypnotherapy into my lap. My subconscious mind knew that I had to be a hypnotist long before I was conscious of it. Like many of us, I’ve dealt with some pretty heavy challenges in my life. Before I knew anything about hypnosis, I was already self-hypnotizing to evolve my thoughts and retrain my mind to feel better. I realized that I have to help others with these techniques because retraining the mind to view life more positively is possible! The program I’ve created is designed to train clients to:
-Be happy.
-Open up intuition and inner wisdom.
-Balance the body and mind.
-View the “bigger picture” with a new perspective.
-Gain confidence in relationships.
-Release negative energy.
-Clear limiting beliefs about self.
-Find the courage to forgive.
-Gain confidence to pursue passions.
-Work through things that compromised self-esteem.
-Learn to speak up authentically.
-Eliminate insecure thoughts that affect sleep.
-Learn the art of remaining present.
-Accept self.
Lastly, I would like to say that I’m always working to be the best version of myself in my business and in my life. Challenges will come and go – and committing to evolving is a daily practice. We all have wisdom, intuition, innocence, and the ability to be happy within us. Sometimes, we just need to find a way to unleash it all.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
What a fun question! Colorado is such a beautiful, fun, and laid back place. I’ve lived in other parts of the country, but living in the Boulder area for the last 11 years really feels like home. I like to take visitors into the mountains for a hike or two. I also like to take them to see a concert or two. In Colorado, we are so lucky to have amazing live music. There is also a lot of tasty food, fun restaurants and bars with beautiful views. A few notable restaurants in Boulder – Avanti, River and Woods, Oak at 14th, and even sushi! Yes, many of the sushi restaurants here are amazing (and I can say that after having lived on both the west coast and the east coast). Also, the sun is shining most of the year and the people here are beautiful and kind.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to the Hypnotherapy Academy of America for teaching me so much about hypnosis and the mind. I would also like to dedicate my shoutout to my friends and family for believing in me and giving me love and support.
