We had the good fortune of connecting with Bobbi & Chris Georgeton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bobbi & Chris, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind our success are the different strengths we each bring to the business. Chris owned a large restaurant for 28 years in Ohio, and became very experienced in every facet of the business. He took this knowledge, and knew exactly what needed to be done to start a food truck. Bobbi was a teacher for 20 years, and used her organizational and people skills to add value to the business. She loves meeting new people, and also doing detail oriented work. She took on the accounting, payroll, and scheduling duties, while Chris enjoys cooking, purchasing, and every day operations.

We feel these different strengths contribute greatly to the success of our business. Bobbi will always have a smile when taking your order, and Chris will deliver delicious, fresh, quality food. Our customers have said they appreciate our service, quality and variety of food choices.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When asked about what sets us apart from others, we would have to say our quality, consistency, and service.

This is our passion, and when we set our minds to something, we try to make it the best possible. We strive to make delicious food, and have the best service around. Many say that we have one of the best turnaround times and appreciate us not running out of food like others may. We are a big truck, and can hold a lot of food to serve more people than many others can. We love serving large groups and being in fun, new spots.

It has not been easy to get to where we are, but we have learned a lot along the way. We highly suggest following your passions, working hard, and being in a place you love.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m not sure how to answer this in relationship to our business, but the places we like to take people when they visit are on hikes, fly fishing, eating at a lot of different locations, and exploring new areas.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We need to give a shoutout to a few people, but oddly enough our supporters are much younger than we are. Our first shoutout goes to our kids, Eleni and Nate. Although we didn’t always listen to our own advice, we always encouraged them to follow their passions, and do what they love. After proudly watching them carry this out (as an engineer and a college basketball coach), they encouraged us to listen to our own advice. As our daughter decided to follow her dream of going to college in Colorado to become an engineer, we decided to follow her in her second year to head to the mountains ourselves (and get in-state tuition for a few years too). Chris owned his own restaurant in Cincinnati, Ohio for 28 years, and Bobbi was a teacher for over 20 years. Although we enjoyed our careers, we were ready for a new challenge and new environment. We moved to Colorado, tossed around a few ideas for “2nd careers/semi-retirement”, and the food truck fell into place. We loved the idea of creating quality, fresh food for people, while exploring our new surroundings. We have loved meeting new people and going to new places that we may not have known without the food truck connection.

We also want to give a shoutout to our nephew, Jimmy. We watched him follow his dreams from the minute he graduated from college in Ohio, as he moved out West to enjoy skiing, boating and fly fishing. After working in beautiful areas like Bend, Oregon, Jackson, Wyoming and Summit County, CO, he joined us working on the truck. We could not have grown our business to the size it is today without him. He has become an invaluable part of our business, and will own his own food truck one day and continue to enjoy all life has to offer in the mountains.
