We had the good fortune of connecting with Bonnie Cherni and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bonnie, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind our success is engaging our origami teams and driving them to an aligned vision. We have a wonderful time together creating great shows at our venues. We also pride ourselves on our 5 star service that focuses on listening to our clients’ needs at their venues so we can attract and excite their audiences.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve created four companies with the last being acquired recently. I leverage MBA skills with my Creativity to give infrastructure to my installations that venues can trust to attract and engage their audiences.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Meow Wolf and Denver Airport are my favorite places when I’m not in Boulder enjoying Wonder, the Tea House, and Leaf Restaurant. The Boulder trails and the nearby mountain trails keep me thoroughly entertained.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are many people to thank along the way of our success. Jayne and Steve Miller helped incorporate our first company and continue to help with EpicOrigami today. Kate Ward helps direct our team and keep our clients organized. My niece Tasha Bond has been studying with me for years on creating origami. Jennifer Prater leads our installation team and guarantees us a successful installation at our venues. Steven Epstein heads our engineering effort with Greg Green and others.
