We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandi Babin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandi, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
As a mother of 4, I went through some tough times early on in motherhood. I have struggled with things that so many new mothers struggle with, including depression, anxiety, self-doubt and unfortunately due to mental and emotional abuse during those times my self-value and confidence was destroyed. I suffered PTSD from the abuse I endured throughout the years and had no idea that it was even there. I just thought “There is something wrong with me”. I started to search for anything and everything I could get my hands on to begin healing and building myself back up. This included books, podcasts, mentors, therapy and relationships that slowly started building me up. I decided I would compile everything I used that made a major difference in my life into one journal for myself that I could continue to use for my self-talk, mindset and habit tracking. When a friend or fellow mother would voice that her struggles were similar to mine, I would send her this very rough draft of a journal. I started to get feedback that I should publish it. So in an unlikely string of events in which I participated in and WON a National Beauty Pageant. Because of this new title, I felt compelled to make this the time that I published the journal and got my message out there for many more women to start healing, discovering their beauty, and falling in love with themselves. That is how Reclaim LLC was formed!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My career has blossomed into more than I ever thought it could be. This is the beauty of letting your passion fall into your lap, recognizing the opportunity, and then going full force without looking back! My PTSD and therapy journey led me to discovering a modality of therapy called Brainspotting. I was already asked multiple times to become a life coach. Every strengths finder test or personality test I’ve taken states that my personality and design would be best fulfilled as a teacher or coach. I started looking into this and decided that I agreed with the masses! I would become a life coach. After my own miraculous healing using Brainspotting, my therapist urged me to train in it myself. I took the plunge and took the training. I am now a Brainspotting Practitioner along with my coaching and Reclaim Journal that was published. They all go hand-in-hand and it sets me apart from other coaches because I can help people eradicate anxiety faster than any other talk-therapy method out there. Results are drastic, fast, and effective. I have invested in myself and my skills, invested in my business, taken risks, failed, learned, grown and continue to succeed not because I don’t have setbacks, but because I USE them to succeed in the future. There are no failures… there are only opportunities to learn and grow. I want the world to know that your most valuable investment will always be in discovering who you are and why you love her. That will bring you all the success you’ll ever need, and your children will benefit the most from seeing you max out your life and respect yourself!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
On a week long trip with me, I would treat my friend to some much needed R&R! I believe that especially when traveling, the new environment, the unfamiliar stressors and the constant battle to stay alert and aware will tire you out mentally, physically and emotionally. The first thing we would do is grab some food and some drinks and snuggle up on a couch or hot tub somewhere. Relaxing and talking about old times, new times and what our plans for the future will be is a great way to kick off a get-together. The rest of the week would be full of great food, live music, and new experiences. It is important to always try something new 3 or 4 times a year. This keeps your mind sharp and your creativity flowing. Food is culturally a great way to add comfort and memories to the relationship! The most fun and interesting thing to check out where I’m from is the scenery of the mountains. Hikes, rock climbing, kayaking, boating, paddle-boarding, bike-rides, horseback riding, ATV’s… its an outdoor adventure paradise. Even just a quick drive through the national park to see elk and moose is a fun time! Memories! That’s the most important part of any trip to see friends and family. It doesn’t necessarily matter where you go or what you do, but who you are with and what memories you can make to last a lifetime.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have SO many shoutouts for people who had a big hand in my success. I’d like to thank first and foremost, CK Productions. Aubrey and Clint believed in this long before I believed in myself! They offered their services and their love and support and this wouldn’t be possible without them. Second, the United States National Pageant System deserves a shoutout for making it very clear that my message was needed and deserved to be uplifted and spread nationwide! Their coaching was invaluable throughout the year of my reign. Jamie Simonis – Branding and Marketing Coach helped me design my website, clean up my social media, and inspired me to tell my story in effective, clear and intriguing ways! Gustavo and Yericca Cella deserve a shout out for investing in the initial journals and helping me form my LLC and all of the back-end “junk” that goes with becoming legal and protecting myself and my family as well as believing whole-heartedly in this journey and my mission and vision for Reclaim LLC! And of course my family and friends, all of my sponsors, and my man! There’s nothing like a solid support group of people who love and support you no matter what! Even when you sound a little crazy (wink wink)!
