We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon illig and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandon, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Quality and consistency. When you have a process or SOP you follow to a tee it allows you to have freedoms to explore avenues within your own process to continually improve. If you don’t want to be the best in th field or industry you’re in why are you doing it?
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Honestly I think we all have a ton in common regardless of knowing the person for twenty minutes or twenty years. I make it a point to be able to talk to anyone about anything under the sun. I was taught to treat the janitor and CEO the same because both are alive. When you’re able to humanize the experience of what you’re selling you become bigger than the product you become a part of their life. The way you interact with others can have a butterfly effect and vice versa with you. Some of the largest adversities in life come right before your break. I’ve learned to enjoy these moments and reflect on them because when you’re doing well you don’t think it will end and when you’re at the bottom you dream of the time to be where you currently are. When drinking a beer or enjoying a dab the tough times make me laugh at the easy times. Everything that you’ve experienced has been for a reason sometimes it’s a matter of finding what that reason is. It may be buried deep down but once you find the courage to speak your truth and live freely, there is not a better feeling. BeersNDabs is just that, a page to view the highest quality of cannabis and craft beer. The community that both have cultured allows the content to speak for itself, whether it’s a newly aged sour from WeldWerks or a new Private Reserve batch from Allgreens dispensary both hold themselves to a standard that allows the consumer to elevate their experience. This usually leaves me asking did I know as much as I thought before because they have just stepped it up.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Lots of spots around Denver. I would take them skiing for at least a day, try to hit the coors brewery tour and of course some fine eating.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom, she has been a rock for me through thick and thin. When things are going well she encourages me to keep pursuing that path and when challenges arise she is the first to try and create a solution. Though we don’t always see eye to eye on a variety of things in life she taught me growing up that being your own person is what matters the most. Right or wrong you have to make a decision then move forward. If you’re not growing you’re staying the same.
