Meet Brayden Tomicic | CEO of South Valley Photography, and Owner of MetaGarage

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brayden Tomicic and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brayden, why did you pursue a creative career?
Since I was little I have always had this itch to create. When I was older I was able combine two passions and turn it into a career. Taking pictures of cars and products and being able to display them in a way that is pleasing to the eye is a very satisfying and rewarding. I guess in short I love being inspired and find fulfillment in capturing the world in ways that I see it!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
South Valley Photography is an automotive and product photography company. We assist both commercial and private clients by capturing stunning images to be used in any medium they see fit. We also consult and manage brands by providing a strategic direction to grow both as a company and in sales. For many including myself, photography started out as a side job to have fun and potentially make extra cash. I did this while working in sales, and marketing for a couple organizations. Being a self taught photographer and working full time meant not a lot of free time for friends or even family. It has been a constant refinement of skills and learning. I was super grateful to be working in sales and marketing at the same time as it provided a substantial amount of knowledge and experience that I could apply in my business. Understanding how businesses function, and what it takes to get a sale meant that I could guide my content in the direction that would be beneficial for many clients and businesses. It has been over seven and a half years since I first started and we are growing like wildfire! Combining art with business is not an easy feat and means constantly refining your skills. Late nights and early mornings to juggle both careers in the beginning was hard, but well worth it. I have started doing photography, brand consulting, and social media managing full time as of February of 2022. I couldn’t be more grateful and loved working with many brands all over the world! But that isn’t just all I do!

MetaGarage is another company that I own and has been a passion project over the last year. We were the first project of it’s kind world wide. We connect real world cars to the Metaverse. People get commercial grade images that will be cartooned into an NFT and then get exclusive access to a group of like minded enthusiasts. They get access to exclusive events, cruises, and rallies for members, and as their ticket they receive a digital NFT of the cars. It has been a been quite the journey but currently have 30 out of the 100 members that are initially allowed to join. It is not just another fun art project that people get online, but it is a tangible project with real utility.
There is no road map for this other than what we have built so far. We are growing at a steady pace and it is just the beginning!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Utah is super unique and has a variety of things to offer. Depending on the time of year we would adventure in the mountains and lakes here on the Wasatch front. A couple hikes, or even offering timbersledding as an option for those who are a little more adventurous. We have many local dining experiences that are great, from Italian Graffiti, to La Caille, Red igauna, Chile Tepin, & Crack shack would be just the start of some food options we would explore! From the salt flats, to the mountains utah offers many amazing places to explore and take in the scenery.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My work ethic is greatly is my father. Someone who does whatever it takes to get the job done and provide for his family. My daily motivation is my best friend Jeevz Dusara. Someone who always has a positive attitude and doesn’t let anyone stand in his way.
I am grateful to have been put in positions to see others successes and know that anything I want is obtainable if I am willing to put in the work.
