We had the good fortune of connecting with Brent Rudisill and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brent, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
In 2010 I bought my first vinyl cutter with my tax return from working at a skate and snowboard shop in Durango. It started as a hobby and I would make shop stickers for some of the local shops down there. We moved to Denver in 2012 and I kept doing it on the side. My roommate Eric at the time had one as well and was doing small stuff for his network and I was doing stickers for mine. We had a couple friends connect us with restaurants and brands and started doing larger projects together. It was all very much word of mouth and just making stickers for friends. We are very fortunate to have a network of creatives and business owners who want to work with their friends.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Do good work, be a good person. Really that has been such a driving force for me. I always want to work with great people so same goes for how I want to deliver work. End of the day I work with a lot of great creative minds so If I can be their vehicle for their work and how it is seen in public I have to do good work, it’s not just my name it’s the brands, shops, brands names that I need to make sure are portrayed in the best light. I’ve been very fortunate to be surrounded with great people who want to work with a small shop like mine. I hope that they keep coming back to work with me because of that ethos.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We have friends and family visiting all the time. Denver is in such a robust boom right now so it’s great to show off the city and see the jobs I have done in the meantime.

I live and work in Rino so usually start with coffee at Crema and walk around. Head over to Ramble grab a bite, get a cortado at Portside, stop at Topo swing up to OMF brewing for a beer head back over to Cart Driver for some pizza, a drink at Meadowlark. Pretty much taking our friends around to show off the homies spots and check out some of our work along the way.

We are up on Tennyson a lot too, thanks in part to the new Huckleberry and Berkeley supply spots. Head into Lady Jones, Queen City optical and then dinner at the new Hey Kiddo.

We love going down to Union station in the summer with nieces and nephews for the splash pad. We start there and walk around a bit stop by Vintage Label, head down to dairy block and stop at Huckleberry always and Burto for snacks and Run for the Roses.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am so fortunate to have a great group of friends and to have started this business with one of my best friends Eric Frazier. We both started as shop kids working in snowboard shops and that network really was the main channel of connecting us to the line of success we are seeing today. The action sports world is filled with creatives and innovators. Everyone knows someone and they always want to connect you. Everyone just wants to work with their friends and good people. Thinking of a few key people that have been part of those major connections. Noah Price ( Crema Coffee), Eli Cox ( Berkeley Supply) Jake Pedziwiatr (Sales Rep), Steven Waters (Run for the Roses) the list is kind of endless like that. Everyone is connected to an industry and pretty much everyone needs a sticker somewhere along the lines.
