We had the good fortune of connecting with Brook Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brook, what are you inspired by?
I am inspired by the world around me. Each day I see what God had created and am inspired to show how beautiful and complex it is. Through watercolor, pastels and photography I choose to create landscapes and layered works that show off the world. The Beautiful days and new places are the best for exploring and finding my sources of art.

My friends are also a big artist inspiration for me to create more during my free time. They inspire me by taking the time out of my busy Mom life as to create more than just what I see as beautiful. Keeping connections with them and receiving feedback provides drive and encouragement.

Overall God’s creation and the people I love most are what make me want the create and show there what I love in the world.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Throughout my Art career it has been full of learning from my Aunt when I was younger, to my Bachelor’s Degree where I learned the most and had so much to explore. Being an artist is not easy, I currently have an job as a Toddler Teacher at my babies school, because sometimes art just doesn’t meet the requirements for the expenses in life. But, that doesn’t mean that it’s not worth trying to achieve that goal or any art goal you are striving for. Create with your heart and a career will follow.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When I take my friends out for us to explore nature I would take them to one of the many parks or somewhere that provides beautiful views. Some place that’s beautiful and calm so we can talk and laugh, maybe even get some great photos.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shout out for the people that drive my creativeness in life would be My Daughter Indie Annalise, My husband Brandon, and My fellow creative Art friends. Throughout life they guide me with reassurance and pride.
