We had the good fortune of connecting with Brooke Rash and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brooke, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
The reason most people stay where they are at is because they are never willing to leave their comfort zones and take risks. Most people play it safe and therefore they never achieve anything great. As a self made millionaire who came from nothing, I can tell you that one of the main reasons I have had the success I’ve had is because I am constantly moving the bar and taking new risks. Without risk you have no reward. It doesn’t mean you should be irresponsible or reckless, but definitely know that the second you begin to move towards your dreams and take risks you will have people in your life that will come out of the woodwork to try to talk you off the proverbial ledge to “keep you safe”. While these people may be well intentioned they are doing you a disservice if you listen to them. Remember to never & I do mean NEVER take advice from someone that isn’t successful in that area your trying to achieve success in. Your uncle may be a great mechanic but if he’s broke don’t take financial advice from him. Go to him when you need help with your car, not your financial future.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I became a social media influencer by accident before being an “influencer” was a thing. As someone who came from a small town and had no real connections I saw the opportunity to use social media to my advantage by building genuine relationships. Now I have a global network of people and an international business as a beauty influencer. But really my passion is in helping others follow their dreams and create financial freedom. Five years ago, I was doing freelance marketing work for other entrepreneurs when a friend approached me about a beauty business. At the time, I was concerned I would ruin my brand image if I were to jump into the network marketing industry but it actually catapulted me into massive success. I went from working from client to client to creating a residual income stream that gave me total time and financial freedom. This was a huge blessing because a few years later I was diagnosed with a chronic illness that left me unable to work. Not only was I able to pay out of pocket for the expensive treatments I needed to recover but I was able to take the time off I needed to heal without taking a loss to my income.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in Colorado Springs, but some of my favorite spots in Denver are in the Cherry Creek area. You can find lots of cute shopping, boutique hotels and instagram worthy restaurants and bars. If you’re a health fanatic like me, I recommend Flower Child and True Food Kitchen. And don’t forget to check out Meow Wolf. There are only 3 locations, so it will definitely be a unique experience!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I dedicate my shoutout to my husband & fellow risk taker of 20 years, Jason.
