We had the good fortune of connecting with Bryan Bonner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bryan, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Taking risks is how I’ve crash-landed into some of my best experiences—personally and professionally. It’s the only way to sneak past the status quo and find out what’s hiding behind the door. That’s where the stories come from.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My career has taken me down many strange and unexpected paths. With a background in photography, electronics, and a long list of certifications in a variety of unusual fields, I’ve been able to approach paranormal investigations with a critical and analytical eye. My lifelong love of horror has not only fueled my fascination with the unexplained, but also led me to become the co-host of a horror-themed podcast—an outlet that lets me explore eerie stories while connecting with a broader community of fellow enthusiasts.

The journey hasn’t been without its challenges, but each one has offered an opportunity to grow, adapt, and expand my skillset. It’s that constant drive to learn and evolve that keeps me motivated and excited for whatever strange turn the path takes next.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If a friend came to visit and asked me to “show them the sights,” the first stop would have to be my home. Thanks to my deep interest in the paranormal, horror, and all things bizarre, I’ve unintentionally turned my living space into something of a personal museum. It’s filled with strange artifacts, oddities, and conversation starters—and for reasons I can’t quite explain, people really seem to enjoy it.

From there, we’d embark on a tour of some of the metro area’s most infamous locations—places rumored to be haunted or tied to strange and unusual history. Whether it’s a ghost story or a local legend, I love sharing the darker side of Colorado’s past.

And of course, no proper tour would be complete without a stop at a few local pubs to dive into the amazing Colorado microbrew scene. After all, nothing pairs better with ghost stories than a cold pint of something crafted with character.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I believe that where I’ve ended up in life is thanks to several key people. First and foremost, my mother—she encouraged me to embrace horror and the bizarre, which set the tone for much of my journey. I also owe a great deal to James “The Amazing” Randi, who taught me the importance of true skepticism and not making judgments based on first impressions. And then there’s the late AM radio host Art Bell, who showed me the value of treating people with kindness, no matter how outlandish their stories might seem.
