We had the good fortune of connecting with Cameron Sandoval and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cameron, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado and went to Grandview High School. For most of my life I have been an athlete. I played football and basketball all the way through high school then ended up going to Colorado State University to play football. While attending CSU I got my degree in Business with a concentration in Finance. After college, I moved back to Aurora and had a couple jobs in finance and accounting. After a couple years of being in the finance field I decided that I wanted to switch careers and join my dad in real estate.

While growing up I watched my dad in the real estate industry for over 20 years so I developed a passion overtime and finally decided to get my real estate license in 2021. My mom on the other hand is a CPA and that is why I also have had a passion for accounting and finance. My parents have both been very supportive with everything I have done in life and have always wanted me to succeed. I also have 2 sisters and a brother who I am really close with.

What makes my story really unique is that for over 10 years I have suffered from the disease of addiction. I developed problems with substances and alcohol when I was just 16 years old and I am now 29 years old. It wasn’t until October of 2020 when I decided to change my life for the better and now I have over two years of sobriety. During those 10 years it was hard keeping a job, relationships, and peace with myself but now I have all that because of the gift of recovery. I now have a beautiful 3 year old daughter that I would give my life for. She has been the biggest motivating factor throughout all of this. I have had a lot of support from family and friends throughout this journey so I am very thankful for where I am now. Believe it or not, it took me over 3 years to get my real estate licence. I first tried in 2018 and 2020 but could never get through the classes. Once I got my act together in 2020 I gave it another shot and passed right away and have now been licensed for almost 2 years! I used to be very closed minded and quiet about my past but I am now very open and thankful about it. I wouldn’t change a thing about it because it made me the person I am today. The end goal now is to help other people that have been in my shoes and carry the message.

What should our readers know about your business?
As mentioned before I have been in real estate for almost 2 years and work with my father who has been in the industry for a very long time. I work for the The Sandoval Team under Compass Real Estate. Compass is the biggest brokerage in the nation based on sales volume produced. My team consists of other realtors, a marketing team, and a transaction coordinator. Being a new agent can be very difficult and comes with lots of challenges. I think for most new agents starting off in the industry I would say that the hardest part about being a realtor is finding business. Thankfully, I grew up here and have been involved with a lot of activities, so that has helped me generate business and connect with a lot of people. A lot of people think that real estate is easy but it is actually really difficult. The market is changing every single day, and when the market changes we have to adapt to that as well.

I am licensed throughout all of Colorado but for the most part I do my business in South Metro Denver including Parker, Castle Rock, Littleton, Centennial, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, and Littleton. I am available at any time of day, and I always have my phone on me to answer emails, calls, and texts. When I have a client that is ready to buy/sell I take them through the whole process from start to finish and make it as easy as I can for them. Buying a house is probably the biggest investment that most people are going to make, so I take pride in what I do and will go above and beyond to make sure the job gets done correctly. By the time we get to the closing table, I promise my clients won’t just be a client but they will be my friends! Here is a client testimonial:

*Juan Vazquez Jr.*
“Being first time homebuyers, Cameron was so knowledgeable about the home buying process and tips to help us get a home we love. Cameron was always available 24/7 and always willing to answer any of our questions via a phone call or text. During the home buying process Cameron was always very fast to react on homes that fit our wants and needs and would be able to schedule showings the same day they would pop up. Honestly I can’t thank Cameron and the Sandoval Team for all their hard work as I know if it wasn’t for their expertise and advice we would not be in the wonderful home we have today. If anyone is looking for a realtor who will do everything they can for you, Cameron is your man. Cameron tries to get to know you and by the end of it all he isn’t just your realtor, but rather a friend.”

I am fortunate enough to say that I love what I do and not a lot of people get to say that. I love meeting and networking with people every single day. If you have any questions about buying/selling please reach out, and I’d love to take you through the process!!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to my parents who have supported me through all of this. Without them none of this would be possible. They have taught me once I put my mind to something, I need to go after it and not look back! They have always told me that no matter what I do, I need to do it 110%. Not only are they my parents but they are my good friends that I can go to and talk to them about anything. They are great role models and never turned away even during the low times. My daughter is also a huge factor in all of this. I do all of this for her because I want to give her the most amazing life and I would do anything for her. Overall, shoutout to all my family for letting me follow my dreams and being supportive. I am very thankful to have all of you in my iife for this incredible journey!
