Meet Candice Redman: Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Candice Redman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Candice, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started my career in the corporate world right out of college. Although it laid the groundwork for me professionally, I always dreamt of one day being my own boss and creating my own company. After starting a family, it became clear that I wanted a more flexible schedule that would allow me to be more hands-on in my children’s lives while still being a successful business woman. During Redline’s first two years, I continued working a full-time job while also maintaining my business. As Redline grew, I made the final decision to walk away from my career of seven years and dedicate my entire focus to Redline’s growth and future opportunities. The decision to leave my place of employment after seven wonderful years, was not easy and very risky. However, if I wouldn’t have taken that leap of faith, Redline would not be what it is today with my kiddos by my side. Starting Redline Promotions has been a tremendous learning experience. The knowledge and challenges that we have overcome throughout our three years in business, have given me the expertise and motivation to start other businesses and now a non-profit organization! The process of opening a non-profit is similar, but also very different. I am excited about this new journey and proud to support local women in my community. We are in the beginning stages of announcing Women Optimizing Women, which will give women in our community the confidence to follow their dreams and the tools they need to reach their fullest potential. 

What should our readers know about your business?
Redline Promotions is a Colorado based company that brings marketing campaigns to life by providing quality staff who create memorable brand experiences. No matter the brand or industry, Redline Promotions will successfully execute every event! Our rockstar team of brand ambassadors and promotional models strive to handle each promotion with complete precision in order to achieve significant, measurable results for our clients. We specialize in product sampling, field marketing representation, retail activation, guerrilla marketing, trade shows, event execution and more! Along with so many other small businesses throughout the world, Redline was directly impacted by the Covid-19 virus. Business went from an all-time high, to almost no business at all. This unpredictable downtime allowed Redline to develop more creative ways to stay in business, while keeping our employees engaged. We are incredibly proud to announce that we not only specialize in the services listed above, we now also offer supplier representation, golf concierge and our new sister company Redline Entertainment, LLC. Redline Entertainment is an agency that brings events and venues to life by providing quality entertainers who create memorable, everlasting experiences. Throughout 2020, we noticed the increase and desire for more outdoor entertainment. We also felt the need to find a way to help fund local artists, musicians and comedians who were so tragically affected by the pandemic. With every new company and new business venture comes challenges, but we are extremely excited about now providing and supporting local entertainers and the venues in our community!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I absolutely love this question! Because Redline’s Headquarters are in Northern Colorado, I would like to highlight two little towns called Windsor and Severance. Windsor and Severance might be small, but they have a big bite and are fabulous communities to be a part of. I would not let my friend leave town without visiting Shebrews Coffee & Ice Cream in Severance, CO. After coffee and ice cream we would head over to Blue Spruce Park to go fishing for the day. Golf is one of my favorite past times, thankfully Windsor has many beautiful golf courses to choose from. Pelican Lakes Golf and Country Club is the perfect course if you want a gorgeous view of the mountains, exquisite greens with lakes and waterfalls and exceptional service. Pelican’s Sand Bar and Grillhouse also offer yummy food and drinks for before or after play. Yoga is also one of my go-to hobbies. Windsor Family Yoga offers my favorite heated yoga classes in a clean, safe, non-intimidating environment and provides the most kind, qualified instructors. Whether you are male, female, a beginner or an expert, they have a class available and always make me feel comfortable. For a night out on the town in Windsor, I would take my best friend to Cacciatore at Heller’s Kitchen restaurant for a delicious Italian dinner before we head downstairs to the Windsor Mill Tavern for unique cocktails in a speakeasy setting. Main Street in Windsor is full of adorable boutiques and small businesses to support. My favorite boutique is called Coast to Coast Styles, which carries a variety of popular new styles of clothes, shoes and small gifts for many occasions. Windsor and Severance are quiet, little gems in Northern Colorado, but they pack a big punch of goodness!   The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have been so blessed to have the support and guidance from my family. My wonderful husband and family members have never stopped believing in me or in my dreams. I have also been extremely fortunate to have several mentors throughout my life who helped guide me personally and professionally. I truly believe that you do not meet anyone on accident, there is always a purpose. I try and learn from every individual that I come in contact with. That being said, there is one particular person and fellow female entreprenuer who saw something in me and believed in me more than I could have ever imagined. This shoutout is dedicated to her.
