Meet Carrie A Lamb, PT, DPT, OCS | Founder Connect Physical Therapy and Pilates, Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist, Balanced Body Educator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Carrie A Lamb, PT, DPT, OCS and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Carrie A, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started Connect Physical Therapy and Pilates because my clients asked me to!
They were seeing real progress in physical therapy, loved how Pilates enhanced their rehabilitation, and wanted more. I realized I could be more effective as a physical therapist—and fully utilize my skills—if I stepped outside the constraints of traditional healthcare. Too often, the system limits visits, shortens treatment times, and focuses only on getting people back to basic function. But I wanted more for my clients. I wanted to help them return to the activities that bring joy and fulfillment—like hiking, running, and biking.
Starting Connect gave me the opportunity to spend more time with each client, get to the root of their challenges, and continue supporting them long after their initial injury or concern had passed.
The human body is endlessly fascinating and full of untapped potential. At Connect, we’ve built an environment where we develop long-term relationships with our clients. These relationships allow us to serve them more effectively—whether they’re recovering from injury or simply looking to take their movement to the next level.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m most proud of the loyal community we’ve built and nurtured over the past five years. At Connect, we’re a team of dedicated professionals committed to helping people feel good in their bodies. We believe your care and instruction should be meaningful and personal, which is why we tailor every treatment and class to your unique needs.
We don’t offer quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, we take the time to get to the root of the problem. Many of our clients tell us they had given up on feeling better—until they started working with us. Their renewed hope, and the trust they place in our team, means everything to us.
Like any small business, we’ve had our share of ups and downs. But one of the gifts of business ownership is the constant opportunity to grow. I’ve learned to pause, take a breath, and make decisions rooted in our mission and values rather than reacting to challenges. I’ve also learned how important it is to deliver a consistent, thoughtful experience and to truly listen to the needs of our community. Most importantly, I’ve come to deeply appreciate the value of time—and how we choose to spend it.
Our tagline at Connect is: FEEL BETTER. MOVE BETTER. LIVE BETTER.
We live this every day, alongside our clients. We believe movement is powerful medicine. When you feel good in your body and move in ways you never thought possible, life opens up. Whether it’s enjoying time with friends, being active in nature, or simply moving through your day with ease, we believe better movement leads to better living—for individuals and for the community as a whole.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have to preface this by saying I’m a mountain girl at heart but, if we were here to live it up in the Denver area here’s my list.
Bike ride though the city and around City Park. Head to Spinelli’s market in Park Hill to get some sandwiches for a picnic lunch in the park.
Sunrise hike at Red Rocks followed by brunch at the Hungry Goat in Morrison then an afternoon of relaxing by the river at Lair O the Bear Park would be a fun day.
I love Evergreen Lake for a relaxed SUP on a warm day and there are lots more fun trails to explore there too.
I wouldn’t be a very good hostess if I didn’t include a beer tour in and around the city. Prost, Station 26, Mountain Toad, and Holidaly would be top on my list!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to shout out my college advisor who asked lots of tough questions about what I wanted my career to look and feel like and helped me discover a passion for physical therapy. I’d also like to shout out Balanced Body Education for helping me unlock a love for teaching and connecting me with the most amazing group of Pilates professionals in the world! And, of course, my family who keeps me grounded and puts up with all the ups and downs of owning a small business!
