Meet Mallory Bouchard | Interior Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mallory Bouchard and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mallory, what inspires you?
Honestly, so much of my inspiration comes from nature. I’ve always been drawn to the organic beauty of the outdoors—there’s something grounding and effortless about it. That’s why I love biophilic design; it’s about creating spaces that breathe, that feel alive and connected to the natural world. I love incorporating the outdoors into my designs, but living in a colder climate that might be executed by large unobstructed windows and less walls so that nature is the artwork in the home!
Travel is another big one for me. Experiencing different cultures, design traditions, and landscapes opens up a whole new way of seeing things. Whether it’s the color of a market in Marrakech or the texture of stone in Kyoto, those moments stick with me and often find their way into my work. I think having the opportunity to travel as much as I have I have really developed a love for telling people’s journeys through their own travels. It helps me not only connect with my clients, but also understand how to effortlessly blend design styles together.
And then there’s color. I’m endlessly fascinated by color theory—the way a palette can completely shift the mood of a space or tell a story without a single word. It’s like its own language, and I love using it to bring depth and emotion into everything, every space I design.

What should our readers know about your business?
At Bouchard Design Collective, we believe that every space tells a story. As interior designers, our core philosophy is centered around staying true to our client’s unique narrative. We don’t just design spaces — we create environments that reflect the personalities, values, and aspirations of those who inhabit them.
Our approach is deeply collaborative, where our client’s vision is the heartbeat of the design process. We listen carefully, understanding the essence of who they are and how they want to feel in their space. Every detail, from material and color choices to furniture arrangements, is thoughtfully curated to align with their individual story.
We value authenticity and strive to craft designs that not only meet our client’s functional needs but also evoke emotion, connection, and a sense of belonging. Whether it’s a home, office, or commercial space, we believe the design should be an extension of our Client’s identity — a place that feels unmistakably theirs.
By prioritizing our client’s narrative, we ensure that the spaces we create aren’t just beautiful — they’re meaningful, lasting, and truly personal.
We specialize in full service new build luxury residential spaces as well as sports hospitality suites! Aesthetically we are known for our luxury modern-contemporary aesthetic, however we have done other design styles such as English Cottage! What sets Bouchard Design Collective apart from others is that we love a modern design, however we put a warm welcoming, homey feeling to each space. We love throwing in pleasantly unexpected items like vintage furniture or artwork in our projects. And we feel strongly about helping our clients put into words and materials what they want in a home.
Currently, I am most known for being the designers for The World’s Largest and Most Expensive Luxury RV (no that is not a joke!) I had the opportunity to work with some amazing clients on a one of a kind fully custom 1200 square foot 53 foot long triple axel semi turned RV. It actually just won several awards! I am most proud of this project as it really challenged me in every way- it was a cross country, and even multiple country design project!
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road to get here! Going back to school to obtain my degrees in my thirties for starters was a fun, rewarding challenge. Then there were a couple layoffs throughout my career which devastated me, but didn’t defeat me. Lots of late nights, hard work and pivots have helped shape me and my career, but overall I have been really blessed! I think the combination of drive, passion, perfecting my craft, networking, and some luck and a lot of grit and hard work has gotten me to where I am today in my career. I have my own firm, some amazing clients, and even just won some awards for my recent work!
Overcoming challenges is always something that is painful, but feels so rewarding when you get on the other side and see the lessons learned. I think that if you don’t have some struggles you aren’t learning, growing, and evolving. We should always be challenging ourselves and growing, and with that there are sure to be growing pains- but pain is temporary!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend and I went exploring in the city, we’d split our time between Denver and Aspen for the perfect mix of city energy and mountain magic.
We’d kick things off in Denver. First stop, brunch at Sassafras or Lucile’s- they have a delicious Southern-style breakfast.
Definitely a day wandering adventures through the RiNo Art District—I love the vibe of the area with the street murals, hidden galleries, and converted warehouse spaces- not to mention their curated hidden gems of antique finding. We’d pop into Beet & Yarrow for a dreamy floral fix, then swing by Modern Nomad for design inspiration and home goods with serious character. I also love a good afternoon antique hunting so and Denver has some seriously underrated antique and vintage spots—whether you’re hunting for mid-century gems, quirky collectibles, or that perfect worn-in rug, the city has range. We would ofcourse stop by 33rd & Larimer (in RiNo) and really all of Modern Nomad. Don’t forget to hit up Ninni & Foffa’s, they have amazing designer vintage pieces!
Dinner would be at Uchi—their non-traditional take on Japanese food is next level. The Ramble Hotel rooftop is perfect for watching the sunset too!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There have definitely been so many people who have encouraged me, and influenced me, and rooted for me throughout the years. Firstly got to give a shout out to my parents for supporting me and my dreams! Also my sweetheart, Jeff. He has been encouraging me from the depths of late night interior design school assignments to now owning and running my own award winning interior design firm! He has believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself! I’ve also had some amazing mentors in the design world who I have learned so much from. Without their mentorship, guidance, and knowledge my journey to where I am now would have been much much harder.
