Cavi, thanks for joining us again. Just to level set a bit for folks who may have missed our last interview together, can you briefly introduce yourself?
My name is Jason Ornong otherwise known in our community as Cavi the Barber. “Cavi”. I am Owner/Operator of Cavi Cuts Barbershop in Grand Junction Colorado. Also big brother to 5 other amazing talented barber in Cavi Cuts Barbershop.
My brand is Cognitve Collection which holds. Tshirt and hoodie line as well as a cologne called Prosperity..
I am a what I call a “intentional barber”.. my intention is always to give you your best look through the art of Barbering. But more so the greatest intention I have for our clients to to provide confidence, inspire self esteem and help increase faith through love, compassion, and humility as a Follower of Christ…
All those things I feel always will set me apart from the average entrepreneur.
I have had the amazing opportunity to be and ambassador for the product line Johnny B. Got to travel. Have done education and hairshows!
The highlights are daily for me, I look forward to what God has in store for me in a day. I always keep and open Mind a know I am a light for those who are in need of healing of someone to listen. I love my career and I love people! Thank you to all my supporters and clients! All Glory to my savior Jesus Christ. 💯🙏

Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?
We just recently finished our third annual giveback kickback. It is an event that we created three years ago that allows our community to freely. Donate school supplies( no matter how small the donation) to receive a free Cavi Cuts service and experience for students from the grand Valley and surrounding area. It’s always a great way to get our community together. And also gather supplies for schools in need!! usually the event is hosted in August but this past year we did it in December and did an amazing event to called give kickback Coats for kids… which we were able to receive very abundant donations of coats for our youth in our community!
The reason behind doing a later event is because I actually got married on August 24 2024 to my beautiful wife, Gloria Ornong!Also We officially December 17, 2024 had our first grandchild Luna!! so many amazing things and blessings throughout the year! I thank God for my career, my family and all my successes!!

What do you want people to remember about you and your brand? What are some of things that you feel are most important, unique, special, etc?
I want to remembered as a man with a brand that always cared that always showed love and presented opportunity (Cavi Cuts Barbershop) to help young young men succeeded either in the career field of barbering or in life. Somebody that inspired confidence with intentional branding.(cognitive collection.) to remind you that you are amazing and worth it! And also To be an example of a brand with a faith based foundation.
