We had the good fortune of connecting with Chaela Gerber and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chaela, what do you attribute your success to?
I believe the most important factor behind my success is balance. I have found that nothing brings me more joy than living a very balanced life between my business and my family. Raising three little boys while building up a business to support them has taught me to set and respect boundaries of my time and theirs and that of my clients. And who doesn’t work better when they’re full of joy and can fully embrace the moment they’re in?

What should our readers know about your business?
I am a REALTOR ® and mortgage lender. Having this dual license offers my clients more resources and knowledge from one source, but even if they don’t use me for both I have tons of great other people who can help them. The knowledge and connection to both realms helps create a smooth transaction for all involved. It’s my goal to make the biggest transaction a bit less stressful and more enjoyable by being hands-on and clear in communications. I also strive to build relationships with everyone involved in the transaction to help create a team environment so that everyone can walk away confident and satisfied.

I’m most proud of the relationships and reputation I’ve built. I base my business on building relationships and taking care of people so I’ve walked away from transactions with lots of new friends and feel true fulfillment knowing that I’ve helped someone.

Building my business was a rollercoaster. Trying to find my place and figure out who I wanted to be in this industry was difficult, but with the support of my amazing brokerage, West and Main Homes, and my friends and family, I was able to grow and find my place and now I have a business I’m proud of and have found a work-life balance I’m very grateful for.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Colorado is the best place to visit! It’s hard to narrow it down, but I would absolutely take them to Red Rocks (duh) and eat at some of the great local spots in Morrison. Tony Rigatoni’s is a must! A brunch at Denver Biscuit Co. or Toast would be on the schedule along with a trip to Downtown Littleton. Fun little local shops, some with some amazing community give-backs. The Alley has some of the best tacos and margaritas, it’s a perfect spot for happy hour! Finally, I would head further south, Garden of the Gods, and Cheyenne Mountain Zoo are really great places to see for visitors. Garden of the Gods is gorgeous and Cheyenne Mountain Zoo has tons of interactive opportunities with some of the best zoo animals! Both offer a little Colorado exercise to work off the delicious food we’ve had. *wink* The last unmissable restaurant for me would be La Loma in Castle Rock. Amazing food, drinks, and the most beautiful views! Between all of these places, there are hundreds of great walking or biking paths to hand out at and enjoy the Colorado sunshine or breweries to enjoy some fun drinks.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I could not be where I am today without the love and support of my husband. He has been the stronghold of our family while I tried to figure out what I wanted to do with myself and has encouraged me every step of the way in building this business and adding additional services. Without him and his support, I would be working a “safe” 9-5 that wouldn’t allow me to be there for all the things with my kids while still helping to support our family and make our lives better than we’d ever dreamed!
