Meet Chelsea Stewart | Pilates Coach and Fitness enthusiast

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chelsea Stewart and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chelsea, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The absolute most important factors behind my success are persistence and consistency. When it comes to success, I don’t think you can have one without the other, and I attribute my success to both.
Throughout my career, in both the professional world and the fitness world, it’s through constantly showing up, continuously putting in the work, and focusing on my goal that I’ve been able to find success and most of all, fulfillment.
Yes, there are going to be obstacles, people who judge and doubt your ability, or even negative self-talk, and as humans it’s ok to let it get to you sometimes…we aren’t made of steel (well not ALL of us at least haha.) So when you inevitably re-route and shift as I have done several times, give yourself grace, but never give up.
Once I set my eye on a goal, I am all in, ask anyone who knows me. It’s an all or nothing mindset, and I would be remiss if I said that has always been beneficial, because there have been times where it’s been to my own demise. However, it’s in those moments of slight defeat (from whatever didn’t work out) I’m able to hold my head high knowing I gave it everything I have…and on a constant basis!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I work for a staffing agency that focuses on marketing and creative talent and strategies…a mouthful, yes. But I love my job, and it’s been a JOURNEY to get here. So no, it was not easy finding my passion or my perfect career, but I am a big believer that everything happens for a reason and each job and each opportunity has led me to be here, exactly where I am meant to be.
As annoying as it sounds, I stumbled into my career. Like most of us, I had no idea what I wanted to do and my previous jobs didn’t light me up. So, one day, as I was perusing the internet, I came across Freeman + Leonard, and was intrigued. After doing my research and talking to just about everyone on the team, I signed on to be in staffing sales…something I would have NEVER thought would be my perfect match, but alas here we are…a match made in heaven.
I had to overcome the idea of what I thought a career “should” look like, or what I thought people expected out of me and simply go with my gut. And let me tell you, my gut was SCREAMING, “Do what you love, and you’ll inevitably be successful.” But I could not pinpoint what it was that I loved. So, I took a step back and wrote down the things that brought me joy, and when it came down to it there was one common theme – connection. I love connecting with people.
Once I realized my passion for connection, I set my focus on building a career around that foundation, and that’s EXACTLY what I get to do every day with Freeman + Leonard. I connect organizations with the perfect marketing and/or creative individual, to not only elevate the organization, but also fulfill the dream of the individual. When a match is made, it’s magic!
So, when asked what I hope the world, or my community, or whomever to know about me and my personal brand, it’s simple, I want people to see and know me as someone who is willing to do whatever it takes to make them, and their business feel connected and like magic. I want my personal brand and story to resonate with people so that they too can get clear on what they want out of life and have the support to go chase it. I want people to know that without connection and without community we cannot thrive, so we must connect and elevate one another in whatever capacity we can.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ooooo ok, well let’s see, we would DEFINITELY have to start with an amazing walk or hike. If time allows we would do a hike in Boulder, most likely Chautauqua or Sanitas. Then we would head to Whole Sol (Boulder or Denver…same same) for a smoothie bowl, because yeah…they’re DELISH!
Then after a nice nap, we’d head out to dinner. My absolute FAVORITE spots are Safta, Temaki den, Barcelona, Daughter, and The Bindery so we would hit one of those spots.
If this were a week long jaunt, we would go to all of the above restaurants and pepper in some cycling along the Platte River Trail, into Golden, take a Fierce45 class or two, visit the Pearl St Farmers Market, and soak up the Mountain sun!!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wouldn’t be the person I am today without the love, support, and care of my parents. They are the true backbone to everything I do and support me in whatever it is I choose, no matter how outlandish the idea may be.
But I also have to credit the AMAZING Fierce45 community. It is a group of strong, badass women and men who show up to (my pilates) class with true grit and the drive to be better. Not just for themselves, but for everyone – their fellow classmates, family, friends, jobs, you name it. This community is what keeps me coming back and pushing myself to be my best, so that I can in turn show up for them!
