Meet Chrystina Turner | Yoga Instructor & Certified Doula

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chrystina Turner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chrystina, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Now having gained over 10 years of experience working for a variety of companies all with different backgrounds (ex: Nursing, Administration, Transportation, Sales, Food services, etc.), I came to the conclusion that I no longer wanted to work for anyone else. This decision ultimately manifested my new journey of wellness and certification as a 200hr RYT Yoga Instructor, which has now led to my ongoing 4 years experience bringing the joy and movement that is yoga to people all over the world. With COVID-19 affecting the world and myself being blessed with the journey of pregnancy, it was a clear sign that I needed to approach my career path differently and that my growing family needed to relocate from Hawaii to Colorado. My pregnancy journey also confirmed my desire to become a Certified Doula, because bringing a child into this world is the most transitional experience you can ever experience and truly needs to be surrounded by support and love. Ever since I was child, I always knew my path would be to take care of people in some shape or form, but little did I know that it would manifest into the seed that is Every Body Wellness, LLC. Every Body Wellness, LLC provides a variety of wellness-based services (ex: yoga, birth coaching, natural hair care, etc.), events, and organic skincare products to assist in your specific wellness journey, because Wellness looks different for Every Body. Being a black queer woman business owner, I find that the main focus of my mission is to provide a safe space for all like-minded and allied beings, because I believe everyone deserves access to high quality wellness services.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Honestly, there’s absolutely nothing easy about being a business owner, but it’s the rewards that come from your hard work and reaching your business goals that makes it all worth it in the end. Every Body Wellness, LLC is coming up on its one year anniversary and I can’t be more proud of myself of how far I’ve come. As I said before the process wasn’t easy, especially with being new to Colorado and not having any friends or connections, but with patience and consistency I’m slowly accumulating my village/audience. The message I want the world to receive from Every Body Wellness, LLC is that we’re here to truly give the people what they NEED and we can focus on the WANTS later. Prioritizing Wellness and holding Every Body accountable is our hope for society.
