We had the good fortune of connecting with Cindy Overhardt and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cindy, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
At Flower Power we love to see our clients reactions over giving and receiving beautiful flowers. We have the opportunity to be a part of celebrations, whether it is a birthday, anniversary, or starting a new life as a married couple. We love receiving calls from ecstatic customers whose flowers have brightened their day.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am one of the owners of Flower Power in Wash Park. We specialize in only superior flowers, imported directly through Holland. We also support our local farmers in the Colorado, during the summer months. We are very fortunate to have a supportive community, and such loyal customers. I think the biggest challenge has been working with perishable products, and handling the amounts we order each week. Our goal is to use everything each week.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First stop… Flower Power, shop and then walk around Wash Park. We would finish the day with a happy hour at Ni Tu Yo on Bonnie Brae, for awesome margs and guac.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My love of flowers and all things beautiful came from my beautiful mom. Growing up in Tahiti we were surrounded by the most amazing flora and fauna. She instilled in me the appreciation for beauty and to share it with others.
