Meet Colleen Quigley

We had the good fortune of connecting with Colleen Quigley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Colleen, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
This summer marks 10 years as a professional track and field athlete for me, so I’ve been in this sport for a while now and have learned a ton about how it works well and where improvements can be made. Since I’m a athlete, I wanted to solve for problems that I see athletes are having in our sport with the way that pro track and field teams are structured.
Most of the big teams in our country are owned by a major shoe brand and have one coach (who is a male).
The team I built, Meridia, allows each athlete to do an individual deal with whatever shoe/apparel brand they want AND choose their own personal coach. The athletes then come to the team for the rest of the infrustructure- the support of teammates to train with, a community around them, as well as support in telling their story, building a brand, and fostering fans. The team can work with all kinds of other brands to help support the financial needs of the group and diversify our income opportunities.
We just launched on June 4th, 2025 with 6 athletes: Katie Camarena, Skylyn Webb, Annie Rodenfels, Molly Sughroue, Madie Boreman, and Colleen Quigley (me).
This summer we are hosting a virtual event to celebrate the launch of the team: the Meridia Mile
While it seems the whole running world is obsessed with marathons and half marathons, we want to challenge our community to run a mile as fast as they can on Aug 9th! When you sign up we will send you training advice and recovery tips to help you prepare. You’ll also be entered in a TON of brand giveaways that drop EVERY SUNDAY all summer. Prizes are from brands like: lululemon, Saucony, Hyperice, AG1, ROKA, WHOOP, Momentous, Bose, Cheribundi, and more!
The grand prize winner will get a free trip for them and a friend to Boulder to spend a VIP weekend with the Meridia team members during Boulderthon, one of the premiere races in Colorado.
We are so excited to see where this adventure takes us and invite anyone who wants to join us along for the ride!
I didn’t see a team that currently exists in our sport that fit all my needs as a professional runner, so the tagline for Meridia is:
“We were never meant to wait for a lane. We make our own.”

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
You can find out anything you want to know about my story at www.colleenquigley.org!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’ve been training in Boulder, which is where Meridia is based.
So far my favorite place to eat is Rosetta Hall- I love all the different vendors, it’s great for a group because everyone can get what they want- and when it’s nice out sitting on the roof with a view of the flatirons is amazing!
So far my favorite place to run is Bouldere Reservoir. There’s a 6 mile loop around the rez that’s so beautiful!
Favorite coffee on Pearl street is Spruce Confections!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate Meridia to every teammate I’ve ever had the honor of training with. From high school, to college (at FSU), to pro, I’ve been on so many great teams and gotten to run with so many beautiful humans. This team is dedicated to all of them.
