Meet Connor Bowers | Digital Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Connor Bowers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Connor, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I knew that if I wanted to make money in life, I wanted to do it in the most enjoyable way possible. For me that meant a few

things. I wanted to work for myself, knowing it would give me more flexibility in my life outside of working. I also wanted to do

something that is entertaining yet challenging at the same time. With that in mind I eventually decided I wanted to start by

creating a sticker company. I never saw myself as an artist or someone who is even good at art or design, this posed a

challenge to me. However I knew I had ideas I wanted to bring to life. It wasn’t going to be easy to start, let alone make

money, but I knew that I wanted to make a living for myself one day. There was only one way to find out if I could crate designs and stickers to eventually make a living off of it, you just have to get started and do it. I knew thats what I wanted and there is no better time than today. With that in mind I started an LLC and got to work. When I very first started the business I was immediately having fun even through ups and downs. I want to live a life that I can enjoy all the time, owning my own business has helped make that possible.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have never been trained in any form of art or design work. Because of this I think I have my own unique style that is constantly improving and getting even more creative. I started my business only a few months ago so I’m only in the beginning stages of my professional career. It has not been easy to get where I’m at and I know it will continue to be that way. However most things in life don’t come easy but when I work hard on something I love it doesn’t feel like hard work. I have already learned a lot of lesions along the way. However I think the most important to me so far is not to give up you can always make something work you just may have to find another way or another perspective. As long as you keep going you will see results. I am in the very start of my career as a business owner, Im going to continue to improve in my life and business. Constantly coming out with new creative designs and creative ways to display my art. I cant wait to see what the future hold for Tacki Design and myself.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For a trip to Colorado Springs I would suggest eating at different local burger places such as the skirted heifer. Some of the best places to visit in the Springs are places in a nature. The Garden Of the Gods is a must see destination. It’s a beautiful place to walk around and see the amazing scenery. Manitou Springs is a little town just outside of Colorado Springs that has so much to see and experience. You can see the cliff dwellings, drink from natural mineral springs, or hike up the Incline if you are looking for a fun challenge.
