We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney and Patrick Walsh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Courtney and Patrick, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
At first she wanted to take on a career in Criminology but life went a different way. But with her passion for true crime and his experience in Law Enforcement and both of our interest in the paranormal, she came up with the idea to start a podcast for the fun of it and see what happens. It has just kind of bloomed from there. It has also become a great way for us to spend quality time together which is difficult at times raising teenagers.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

The level of detail that she goes into when researching and telling the stories. She creates the entire picture and presents facts and details most people overlook in these stories. She shocks everyone weekly with how gruesome and wild some of the stories that most of us have never heard of.

We honestly thought no one would listen when we started so we had fun with it, lots of banter,  and his crazy commentary. And it has kind of taken off. So, we found that balance of research and banter and color commentary have just really created our own unique way of telling these stories.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So, we actually are located in the Houston, TX area. There is so much to do here that spans so many different cultures. For paranormal fans, we have the haunted Galvez Hotel in Galveston, Huntsville Prison or even the Witch’s gravestone. Food in Houston is amazing and is always a part of the scene here in Houston.

We have Galveston beach 45 mins away or we can take 2 hour trip to Austin, San Antonio or even go float the river in San Marcos.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Jonas and Humberto @ Spilling the Crime Podcast, Joanna and Carmen @ Live, Laugh, Murder Podcast, Sam and Paige @ M3: Murder, Mystery and Mayhem Podcast and also Beth and Bailey @ TrueCrime BNB Podcast. Also Creme de la Crime Podcast with Sam Randall.

We all have such a tight nit podcast group/network to help promote, motivate, grow and share ideas.
