We had the good fortune of connecting with Cristine Googins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cristine Googins, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My business partner Marnie Quinn and I have talked about collaborating on a project for years. Outside of her being the owner of the healing center where I teach yoga and practice reiki (Ceremony : Center for Healing) we always felt that we would come up with something else that resonates with our lifestyles and our love of wellness and all things natural, from the inside out. One day while I was helping her make the face oil that she had formulated and perfected years ago and that I love so much, we both realized that this was it! We would come up with a skin care line together! With my experience as an esthetician and Marnie’s background in herbalism, we sat down to come up with a basic skin care routine and had so much fun brainstorming on natural, organic, and affective ingredients and essential oils to make it smell amazing as well! As soon as our amazing community of people started trying the products, we couldn’t make them fast enough! They were flying off the shelves! I think people could really feel the love, fun, and intention that we put into each and every one of our handmade products! We also infuse all of our products with reiki healing energy! That’s how Ceremony Beauty was born! We will continue to evolve and expand our products as we go and we are so excited for what’s to come!

What should our readers know about your business?
I think what sets our business apart from others is the care taken to make each and every product by hand in small batches. Every drop of essential oil is counted one by one, every ingredient is hand picked over lots of laughs and love that we put into creating our brand! Marnie and I bring different elements to our business from experience and just who we are as people. We have found it is a great balance both professionally and personally. We have learned to overcome any challenges that arise with clear and open communication. The birth of this brand has come from a desire to offer a line of skin care that not only creates a beautiful glow on the outside but with the desire that our customers can feel the care and intention of each product we make!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love this question! We would absolutely go to Stowaway Kitchen in the Rino district of Denver! Take a yoga class at Ceremony : Center for Healing in Westminster! Most likely stop by Pressed Juice Daily in Denver for a fresh juice! The best in town! Take a beautiful hike in the mountains, or enjoy a bike ride! Shop for crystals! Enjoy Colorado’s amazing sunshine and nature! The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would first like to thank Marnie Quinn! She is not only my business partner, owner of the studio where I teach yoga, she is a dear friend and life mentor for me. So much gratitude for all of the levels of our relationship! Also, none of what I do and am passionate about would be possible without the amazing community of people that I am so grateful to be a part of! We are always learning from each other through our life experiences and supporting each other along the way!
