We had the good fortune of connecting with Crystal Bradburn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Crystal, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
If you would have told me 6 years ago that I would be the owner of a wellness spa, I would have laughed and not believed you. September 4th of 2017 I entered in to a drug and alcohol treatment facility for my pain pill addiction and alcohol abuse. This was one of the most life changing days of my entire life. Before Recovery/sobriety I was angry, hurt, anxious, depressed and incredibly lost and exhausted. Fast forward to today and I am almost 5 years Sober, full of peace, joy and acceptance. I just finished building my dream home on our 12 acre farm with my incredible husband and my 3 children. Life is so much different and I feel motivated to help others in their journey to a healthier life, no matter what that looks like for them! Majority of people live incredibly stressful lives and unfortunately that stress can impact our physical and mental health, and make us addicted to food, our phones, alcohol, drugs, anything really! I am so grateful for my second chance at life and the ability to pursue my dreams with Soak Wellness Spa all while helping others!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Professionally I started out as a cosmetologist, coloring and cutting hair. I evolved into doing only eyelash extensions, as well as learning the semi permanent makeup business 7 years ago. I am now solely a Master semi permanent makeup artist specializing in Powder Brows, Blush Lips, and eyeliner! Ive always been creative and need an outlet with art. Thankful to have a space in my wellness spa to help others not only FEEL beautiful but LOOK beautiful as well. I don’t feel like it’s vanity. When we look good, we feel good and our vibration is raised! I believe the higher our frequency/vibration the more we attract abundance, health, prosperity.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Montrose Colorado is my hometown and of course I’m going to be biased about how cute it is, BUT if you were to come visit, here are my recommendations. I would stay at Canyon Creek Bed and Breakfast, so charming and has the best breakfast in Montrose right in the heart of downtown. Take a trip to see the Black Canyon and hike around. Have some coffee and pastries from San Juan Brews, Of course, end your day with a deep tissue massage and a float in 1,200 lbs of epsom salt at Soak Wellness Spa! Dinner at Ted’s Steak house!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shoutout Recovery Village at Palmer Lake for giving me the tools I need to remain Sober and at peace with myself and my life!
