We had the good fortune of connecting with Dagmawi Solomon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dagy, what inspires you?
I’m inspired by life! Everyday we get to see is a blessing full of wonderful inspiration. We just have to be able to see beyond, to see the positive, and live a life of gratitude so we can transcend.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Well, being able to create something out of nowhere is just remarkable to me, sometimes I find myself lost in the world, confused and tierd and the only thing in my life that can rejuvenate, and bring me back in line is music! I just love creating… Bringing out what is inside me, surely gives me relief and a sense of accomplishment… I always try to speak about positive, uplifting topics, and try my best to keep it fun. I’ve learned to love, I’ve learned to wait, I’ve learned to be humble, I’ve learned to be assertive,.. it’s quiet a lot to write about it all😁… Ive seen many challenges along my journey of becoming an artist, it takes a massive amount of patience and consistet quality product delivery, and a while lottaaaa trust in urself, which in turn require descipline and serious focus. Many of times I’ve failed, but I always made sure I got back at it again, there were plenty of times people doubted me, and probably gave up on me as well…. But I was willing to always beleive in me, no matter what…. And it paid off in the end!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spots are outside the city to be frank😁… Inside the city I might enjoy some restaurants, probably go to the park or wherever there are trees…. But outside the city is just so many beautiful places to visit in Ethiopia, I’ve been blessed to see some of them and it always renews me, opens my eyes up to the world, and gets me going.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are lots of people who have been by my side supporting my vision and staying strong with me…. I would like to thank Micsolo first and foremost Rest in peace my brother, u have done so much for my career, I would like to thank all my friends and business associates for riding with me. I would also love to thank Leli Lensamo for this soutout and link up and for her unwavering support.
