We had the good fortune of connecting with Daneira Zuniga Sandoval and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daneira, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I’ve always been drawn to creativity, and for me, hair is the ultimate canvas. I have a deep passion for transforming hair—especially through color—and there’s something magical about bringing a client’s vision to life. Watching someone light up after a transformation is the best feeling. Being able to express myself through hair while helping others feel confident and beautiful… that’s why I chose this path.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I absolutely love transformations — there’s something incredibly powerful about taking someone’s hair and turning it into a reflection of how they feel or want to feel. To me, creating beautiful color is truly a form of art. I’m especially passionate about blonding services and balayages — the way light hits and plays through hair can completely change someone’s confidence and vibe.

What sets me apart is the intention and care I put into each service. I’m always learning, always growing. Even as a baby stylist, I invest time in continuing education and new techniques because I believe my clients deserve the best of what I can offer.

I’ve worked hard to get to where I am. It hasn’t been easy — there have been moments of doubt, long nights of study, and learning curves behind the chair. But I’ve stayed grounded by remembering why I’m here: to help people feel like the best version of themselves.

In my chair, everyone is welcome. I want every client to feel safe, seen, and accepted exactly as they are. When they leave, I want them to feel not just more beautiful, but more themselves.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d definitely kick things off with Hotpot Spot in Thornton — hands down one of my favorite places to chow down! It’s cozy, delicious, and perfect for catching up over endless good food. Afterward, we’d swing next door for some boba at Kung Fu Tea — because no hangout is complete without a little sweet treat.

head over to Nail & Skin Studio, where my girl Marissa gives the best pedicures you’ll ever have (seriously, 10/10). We’d probably book facials there too — it’s a vibe, and they always take such good care of you.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to the people who have poured love, support, and encouragement into my journey. First and foremost, my partner — they’ve been my biggest supporter every step of the way, constantly lifting me up and reminding me why I started. I’m also incredibly grateful for my family, whose belief in me means everything.

A special shoutout goes to my friends Marissa and Dharie — not only are they exceptional nail techs, but they also share the same passion and drive for our industry. Their creativity, hustle, and friendship inspire me daily. I truly wouldn’t be where I am without this amazing circle of people.
