We had the good fortune of connecting with Darla Evon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Darla, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
I believe we live in a world where we live in harmony with our heart. I bring my whole heart movement to life by empowering others to get in alignment with what really matters, their heart’s message and intelligence.

I speak and coach with audiences about resiliency, thriving through transitions, and transformational healing. Teaching others the tools to create a life they love living, accelerating their results, and thus creating richer and more fulfilling lives is why I do what I do.

In a time of division, we can rewrite how we show up in the face of disagreement or crisis and it all starts with expanding our heart.

Something evolutionary happens when someone wants to choose hate, rejection and blame, and instead chooses love and acceptance. Love is the door to connection, productive conversation and people coming together to create real solutions.

This movement leads to more harmony and allows us to stand firm when the world seems to be shaking.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I went to college to be a dental hygienist. After a bad car accident and some life lessons, I discovered my real passion and purpose was to be a spiritual hygienist. I use to clean teeth and now I clean souls.

I have overcome a lot of adversities in life, including a broken neck, child abuse, pulmonary embolisms, and domestic violence. My life was not easy, yet I wouldn’t change a thing. I learned how to not only survive, but thrive during the turbulence of life. After losing my career in dentistry after my accident, I dove into personal development and learned to listen to the internal nudges the universe kept giving me. I kept hearing this voice, “go share your message with the world”.

Not knowing how to do that, I hired some mentors and coaches, and got my masters in NLP and Mental and Emotional Release work. I also became a facilitator with the Heart Math Institute. I have written a best selling book, Broken to Beautiful, and another book, Short Sweet & Sacred that will be released in May. I got certified to coach and started speaking on stages.

I simply shine a light where there is darkness in our world. Whether someone is feeling struck in their life, stuggling, or overcoming abuse, I want to be a beacon of hope. More than anything, I love connection with people. I share tools to let go of limiting beliefs and teach how to create a life you love living again!

We are all more powerful than any situation or event in life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my BFF were in town for a week, we would start with a hike at Chautauqua in Boulder. Pearl Street Mall in Boulder would likely call to us after, where we would enjoy people watching and maybe some shopping. We may possibly grab a coffee at Ozo or tea and sushi at Japango. No wait, seafood and a beer at Jax. Hmmm…. I think Boulder is a fun vibe and great place to hang on a nice day. We’d likely end up watching the beautiful sunset over the Rocky Mountains from my deck, while catching up.

We would want to take a day to go to the Cherry Creek North and shop and eat at Cherry Cricket or Cucina Colore.

Most definitely would check out the music scene before my BFF arrived. Would love to have tickets to a concert at Red Rocks arranged for us to attend. Nothing better than an outdoor concert there. We would likely stop for a bite to eat prior to the concert, at Morrison Inn, where we could take in the view and drink a Cadillac Margarita on the rooftop patio.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shout out to my coach, Alexandria Agresta and Gary Barnes. They mentored me to stand in my power and shine my light where there is darkness in our world. Both held my hand and pushed me to honor myself and my message. I knew my message was ready to be birthed into the world and with their guidance I took action and made great strides. I do what I love and impact so many lives in the process.
