We had the good fortune of connecting with Dayna Orton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dayna, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I wholeheartedly believe that unrelenting passion overcomes uncertainty when you find your true purpose. I took the leap of faith 15 years ago when I embarked on a journey that changed my life, I enrolled into massage school. Even now my passion remains unwavering, and I’m still deeply fulfilled by serving my community and my loyal clientele.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the proud owner of Blooming Massage and Longmont Spinal Flow. Since 2010, I have worked as a massage therapist and have consistently developed my skills to improve the quality of care provided to my clients. My latest certification as a Certified Spinal Flow practitioner has given rise to Longmont Spinal Flow, a modality that enables me to maintain my commitment to helping others while supporting my own well-being as I grow older. The Spinal Flow Technique is a gentle, non-invasive approach that empowers my clients to reconnect with their inner selves, fostering profound transformations in their health and wellness. By awakening their life force energy, or ‘Qi’ or ‘Prana’, we tap into the body’s innate ability to heal from within. In today’s fast-paced world, where stress can overwhelm us, I guide my clients in reclaiming their natural healing capacities, allowing them to feel safe and grounded in their bodies once more. As we release accumulated chemical, physical, and emotional stressors, symptoms dissipate, and the body’s natural balance is restored. Healing is not about avoiding negative emotions but about embracing and honoring them, granting permission to feel without judgment. Although the healing journey can be challenging, it is a vital part of our growth, and I assure you that the rewards are well worth the effort. With each step, your nervous system grows more resilient, enabling you to evolve into a stronger, softer, and more authentic version of yourself. This is a journey I am deeply passionate about, and I invite you to experience it for yourself – please don’t hesitate to reach out (303) 827-5101 or visit www.BloomingMassage.com.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m mostly a homebody, but I would envision a week full of pampering and relaxation at my massage wellness clinic, Blooming Massage, getting our nails done at JH Nails, a local place in Longmont for pedicures. We’d go out for brunch each morning at local restaurants such as Pistachio Café Bakery, Lucile’s, First Watch, and Tangerine. We would make time to go shopping for clothes at Fabulous Finds and Flat Iron Mall. We’d eat dinner at home while making comfort food and hang outside under the stars, talking around the firepit. The headliner of the visit would be going to a music concert and experiencing the majestic Red Rocks Amphitheater. That sounds like the best time.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people who need to be recognized in my journey of growth as a person and as a business owner. First off, family comes first—I wouldn’t be the person I am if it wasn’t for my parents, my husband and my daughter and extended family. I view mentors as people who share a bit of themselves to educate and support another, they are close friends, colleagues, my networking community and friendly strangers, all of whom have made an impact in my story.
