We had the good fortune of connecting with Dean Blanchard and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dean, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started my business to help grow the shotgun sports of Trap, Skeet, and Sporting Clays. Since it’s a sport that just about anyone can do. It doesn’t matter if you are young, Old, Male or Female.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart from most is how I build people up. It’s difficult to hit a target out of the air. If you don’t believe you can do it you can’t. I worked with a group of ladies who said I need a set of palm palms because I am such a cheerleader for them. I basically want a person feeling better about themselves after a lesson than when they showed up.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take someone to Colorado Springs to show them the Olympic training center then to The Garden of the Gods. Of course they would definitely have to take the train to the top of Pikes Peak and have a donut. They would also need to go to the Olympic museum. My wife and I have made some friends at the On The Boarder restaurant, so we would have dinner there one night. On one of the days we would go to 2 different ranges Silvercreek and Kiowacreek. In Denver Red Rock stadium would be a great concert stop. There is so much to do or see in Colorado.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family has been a huge supporter of my business. I could not have done it without them.
