We had the good fortune of connecting with Devika Gurung and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Devika, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting my own business has been one of the most empowering decisions of my life. It offers me constant opportunities for personal and professional growth, pushing me to learn, adapt, and evolve in ways that a traditional job never could. I value the creative freedom that entrepreneurship provides—it allows me to shape my vision, explore new ideas, and continually improve based on my own standards and goals.

Being my own boss means I have the flexibility to manage my time effectively, aligning my work with my lifestyle instead of the other way around. This independence enables me to focus on what truly matters—building something meaningful, serving others with integrity, and staying true to my passion.

What should our readers know about your business?
I love being in a business where I can be creative and cultivate my own passion. In the beginning, starting any business is never easy that’s why it’s so important to have a clear goal. With a clear purpose, we can then figure out how to work toward achieving it.

If the only goal is to make money, the story is very different. But when our goal includes earning with pure intentions creating something meaningful, healthful, thoughtful, and soul-driven it becomes a life-changing experience. This kind of purpose gives your work a lasting, lifelong impact.

In this way, your business can become your own world one that doesn’t feel exhausting or make you feel like a workaholic. Instead, it allows you to experience balance, harmony, and a true work-life alignment.

I want the world to know: trust yourself, and pursue the things that create long-term impact. Stay true to who you are, and lead with authenticity. That’s where real success and fulfillment begin.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are so many beautiful places to visit, but what strikes me the most is the abundance of outdoor resources for recreation. I especially love camping and mushroom hunting—it’s something you can easily enjoy with family and friends for an entire week.

Every day, we take small hikes, get lost in nature, and discover new species year after year. It’s such a rich learning experience. We get to eat fresh mushrooms daily and enjoy the excitement of identifying edible varieties that are not only delicious, but also medicinal, healthful, and educational. You can dry and save some for winter too. It’s a fun outdoor activity that brings people together and connects us more deeply with nature.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out my husband and family, who have been a constant source of support and wisdom. They believed in me during moments when I faced challenges and struggled to put things into words. Their encouragement pushed me to keep going when things got tough.
