We had the good fortune of connecting with Drea Reyna and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Drea, how does your business help the community?
Palace Studio has supported the dance community by giving them opportunities to learn dance cover choreographies, use the space for group dance practices and performing opportunities. Also to enjoy seasonal events at public events.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m not any different from anyone with a passion for dance. I got an opportunity to buy a studio and without thinking it I did, even knowing that I had no experience on how to own a studio. My goal was to use the studio for my group dance practices. We had many performances to prepare for and it was difficult to schedule practices in different locations. I did not have a plan on how I was going to maintain the studio, but as time passed, we went with the flow to provide dance classes and host events. Next thing we knew, we had consistent classes and events for the community to enjoy with Palace Studio. I’m excited to see what else we can provide to the community, to keep Palace Studio going with the passion of dance. This process was not easy to obtain, I went through a lot of stress and hardships to keep the studio going, and still am. What helped me overcome the challenges was my own passion to dance and the support from the community. I have learned many lessons in this journey, one is that business and personal relationships are different and it will take time to be successful. I would like the world to know that I’m not sure if Palace Studio will be successful, but I do know that I did this with my heart in my hand and for the love of dance. I want to keep providing opportunities for dancers to feel welcome and driven to accomplish their own goals with Palace Studio.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Denver is a great place to visit for any kind of fun! I would take my best friend to go eat at local restaurants, Denver has variety of types of food, from Asian to Mexican. I really enjoy authentic Mexican restaurants like Los Carboncitos, Hot Pot at old town and Seoul Korean BBQ and Sushi. Its always a good time to get some great Boba from 3456 Tea, Share Tea, The Valley or Kung Fu Tea, or for coffee, I like to go to Ti Cafe. Downtown is good place to go for some drinks and night clubbing, not much a fan of clubbing, I prefer to go to concerts or public local events to support the community.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout to the Colorado K-pop dance community, without their support and passion for dance, Palace wouldn’t be what it is now. Thank you.
