We had the good fortune of connecting with Dysco and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dysco, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I think that taking risks are a big part of life. If there’s something that’s on your mind that you would like to accomplish, but never attempt, you’ll always wonder what that could have turned into. It’s definitely a risk choosing the artist lifestyle, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. The industry is a roller coaster, but for me, there’s nothing more fulfilling than giving my best when it comes to music.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been producing music for about 13 years, and djing for about 15. I am most proud that I continued this journey. Accepting criticism and applying it to my work has been fundamental in getting the results that I want. It has been fun, but challenging for sure. I’ve learned to take a step back and acknowledge the work that has been put in, because it’s easy to forget your progress. While it’s been this long since I started, I feel like I am just beginning. There is a long road ahead!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
While I was visiting Denver for the first time a few months ago, I couldn’t help but to notice so many people representing the Colorado Avalanche. I think an evening at Ball Arena for some hockey would be perfect! Next time I visit, I would really like to go to a game, after checking out the Botanic Gardens, as well as some museums!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
To my family and friends who continue to believe in my vision and music. I’ve been a part of a small community of artists, who have become family, with similar aspirations. They are so talented and give me the constructive criticism that makes me better than I was before!
