We had the good fortune of connecting with Ebenezer Yebuah and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ebenezer, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
The end goal is to have a successful and flourishing music company with the following established departments: Artist Development and Management, Marketing and Promotions, Music Publishing and Sync Licensing. I want to help independent artists tackle the music industry in a strategic way. I want to break the rules of this industry, set new trends for others to follow, and accomplish it all with a good team. That is the journey I travel and only God knows where I will be by the end of my career.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am proud of what I’m building. When I embarked on my music journey back in 2013, I never imagined that I’d someday transition into building a music company. The will to succeed and hunger for learning kept my eyes open to the nuance of the industry. With every project, a fuel of wanting to feel more in control of my career burned inside so I took 4 years off from music and educated myself. Along the way, I realize that I was building and establishing pathways to music success, while also recognizing the pot holes of being an independent artist. This is what inspired the birth of Mawule Music Company. I wanted to help reframe the mindset of independent artists and provide gateway to success.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?Hosting friends is very easy because they all show up with a list of places and things they want to experience. The three Fs: Fitness, Food, and Fun are the foundation and each day is focused on tackling some sort of composed list. Actions and efforts are spontaneous so the list serves as a form of accountability to help us cross things off.

Below are the list of places and things that sum up the visiting experience.
Fitness: 24 Hours Fitness, A 14er, Chautauqua National Park, Hanging Lake, Steamboat Springs, and Manitou Incline.
Food: Bar Red, The Buff, Jamaican Grill, Krazy Karl’s Pizza, Denver Biscuit Company, Motomaki – Sushi Burritos and Bowls, Brothers Bar and Grill, New Belgium Brewing Company, J’s Noodles Star Thai, and Machete Tequila + Tacos.
Ice Cream: Sweet Action, Little Man, and Frozen Matter
Fun: Lots of Netflix and revisits down memory lane
