Meet Ella Robinson | Student & Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ella Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ella, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
It started with a drawing created by my little brother. He drew a fat little bee with a cow pattern and then CowBee was born! After talking with my mom, we thought it would be a cool idea to create CowBee merchandise and donate part of the proceeds to Opetation Honey Bee.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I love creating different types of art, but CowBee is a unique little character that people can fall in love with while supporting a good cause at the same time. The most challenging parts of this have been coming up with more ideas and remaining consistent with social media posts to share my work. When sales are down, it can be very disappointing, but I know if I stick to it, I’ll have more success. I want people to know that when they purchase from me, they are not just supporting Operating Honey Bee, but showing support for a young entrepreneur as well.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take her to the best Mexican Food restaurant around, La Familia in Cedaredge, CO. If the weather were warm, we would go to Sweitzer Lake, its always peaceful and you can see mountains in the distance.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom and my younger brother Sylas have been my biggest supporters on this venture. As well as my friend Lauren who was one of my first customers.
