We had the good fortune of connecting with Eric Nonamaker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eric, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I was visiting a motorcycle dealership in Korea. They were amazed that a niche didn’t exist in Colorado for adventure motorcycle rental. The gears started turning and I decided to give it a whirl. Upon returning to the States purchased an adventure bike for leasing. Wanted to truly test the market and added a street bike as well.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Father of two amazing teenagers. Founder and Owner of Union Jack Moto Rentals. A 747 cargo pilot for Atlas Air.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’re going to hop on some motorcycles and head west from Colorado Springs on US 24 West. Take a detour to the top of Pikes Peak, then continue to Cripple Creek for lunch, Canon City for the Royal Gorge and Skyline Dr, and then back to the Springs.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My kiddos, all the staff at Colorado Springs Motorsports and Triumph Incheon.
