Meet Erica Hernandez & Monica Delgado | Barber and stylist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Erica Hernandez & Monica Delgado and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Erica and Monica, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Wanted to open up a shop that ran on respect and integrity.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
FreshlyFaded: A Barbershop Built on Respect, Integrity, and Style
FreshlyFaded isn’t just a barbershop—it’s a vibe, a culture, and a place where community thrives. From day one, the vision was clear: create a space where people feel welcome, respected, and walk out looking and feeling their absolute best. It wasn’t hard to start because the passion was real and the purpose was strong.
At FreshlyFaded, everything we do is rooted in respect and integrity—just like our logo says. Every cut is sharp, every lineup clean, but it’s the way we treat people that really sets us apart. This is a place where you’re not just a customer—you’re family.
We take pride in creating an experience that goes beyond grooming. Whether it’s your first time in the chair or you’ve been coming for years, you’ll feel the energy, the consistency, and the care behind every service. Our clients keep coming back, and they bring their friends, their families, and even their kids—that says everything.
FreshlyFaded is more than a business. It’s a movement. A space where style meets substance, and where community is always in the cut. We’re not just shaping hair—we’re shaping confidence. And we’re proud to do it with respect and integrity, every single time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit for a week, I’d make sure they got the real Arvada experience—laid-back energy, good food, beautiful views, and a taste of the culture that makes this place feel like home.
Day 1 – Fresh Fade & Good Vibes
We’d start off with a stop at FreshlyFaded, of course—because first impressions matter, and a clean cut sets the tone. After that, we’d grab lunch at a cozy local spot and stroll through Olde Town, taking in the mix of history and modern charm. Chill, walkable, and full of personality.
Day 2 – Flavors of the Town
We’d kick off the day with a solid breakfast at a local café, then spend the afternoon sampling some of the best eats around town—maybe street tacos, comfort food, or a hole-in-the-wall diner. That night, we’d hit a laid-back lounge or bar with music, good drinks, and even better conversation.
Day 3 – Nature & Fresh Air
One of the best parts of Arvada is how close it is to the outdoors. We’d spend the day at a nearby lake, hiking trail, or scenic park—something peaceful, just to reconnect with nature and catch a break from the noise. The evening would be spent relaxing and recharging.
Day 4 – City Energy
We’d head out for a short drive into the city to explore a few artsy neighborhoods, maybe walk through a gallery, check out a street mural or two, and grab dinner at a cool spot with live music. It’s always good to switch up the pace and soak in some creative energy.
Day 5 – Shop Life & BBQ Nights
We’d spend part of the day back at the shop—just vibing with the team, talking life, ambition, and the hustle. That evening, it’s all about comfort food. Whether it’s barbecue, wings, or something off the grill, we’d eat good and enjoy the simple things.
Day 6 – Local Love
We’d make it a point to support small businesses—boutiques, local vendors, maybe even a weekend market. Arvada has so many hidden gems, and it feels good putting money back into the community. That night, we’d find a spot with good music or a chill lounge to close out the day.
Day 7 – Sunday Reset
The last day would be all about slowing down. A relaxing brunch, maybe coffee on a patio, followed by a walk through the park or a quiet spot with a view. Time to reflect on the week, laugh about all the memories, and appreciate the time spent.
Arvada may not always be in the spotlight, but it’s full of real people, real stories, and real energy. That’s what makes it feel like home—and that’s exactly what I’d want my best friend to experience.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to the FreshlyFaded Family
At FreshlyFaded, we believe success is built through unity, hard work, and the support of the people around us. We want to take this moment to shout out the amazing individuals who make this barbershop what it is.
First, we’re proud to say that FreshlyFaded is owned by two women—Erica and Monica—who brought their vision to life with purpose, passion, and drive. As co-owners, we’ve worked side by side to build something bigger than a business—we’ve built a culture rooted in respect and integrity.
We’re incredibly proud of our full team of eight talented barbers, each one bringing their own flavor, skill, and commitment to the craft. Among them is Erica’s daughter, a rising star in the industry who represents the next generation of barbers with heart and hustle. Watching her grow as a professional in the same shop as her mother is a full-circle moment we’re honored to witness.
To our team: thank you for showing up with excellence every day. Your dedication is the backbone of this shop.
To our families, mentors, and community: your love, wisdom, and ongoing support have helped shape our journey. We’re grateful for every word of encouragement, every client referral, and every person who believed in our vision.
FreshlyFaded isn’t just a barbershop—it’s a family. A space where culture meets confidence, and where we uplift one another with every cut. We’re proud of how far we’ve come—and even more excited for what’s ahead.
