We had the good fortune of connecting with Erika Hicks and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erika, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I grew up on the East Coast, North West of Philadelphia in the suburbs and farmland of Bucks County. Living on a farm with chickens, ducks, a dog, and big fields of flowers as an only child was the best childhood experience yet I never really knew it until after college when I went back to those roots. I joke on my socials and to new people, I meet that I am an “organic baby” because when my mom had me and realized she was responsible for my health and well-being, she went completely non-toxic in the household, buying organic food, and had her own organic flower business and that was in the 90s before it was cool. Both my parents are entrepreneurs and their friends were too so I knew that is something I’d want to follow. I moved to Colorado for school and graduated college at Colorado State University, my second university for schooling, and I fell back in love with nature. Holistic health, conscious living, connection to the Earth, and a non-toxic lifestyle, have always been in my DNA and I love that I have found a business that aligns with my core values and supports my goals — leaving this planet better than I found it. My mom has had a huge influence on my life and her wisdom always stays with me. We work together to help this planet with the over-accumulation of plastic consumption and educate on water quality and how it relates to your healing journey. I definitely came full circle from my childhood to now still promoting what my mom has been doing since I was born!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
When this business opportunity came to me in 2020, I was calling for a new career apart from nannying and the serving industry. I was ready for a change in my life, something that filled my heart and soul. I wanted something online that could be done or sold anywhere in the world. I wanted to feel good like I was helping the planet and the individual — the micro and the macro. A lot of us are told, “go to college to get a degree to make money,” and it is a story that is slowly crumbling and allowing new stories to be writen and evolve. I wanted to a career, a job where I could feel like my life was a vacation, like my life and work were co-mingled beautifully because I loved what I was doing and I had location freedom!

Enagic came into my life, a company that has been around for over four decades that have been the leading manufacturer of alkaline ionizers and water filtration machines in the world. Water is life, it gives life to plants and animals and it can cleanse our energetic bodies. It is a powerful element that we all need to live. My passion is to transform the tap water in your home into pure healthy electrolyzed-reduced and hydrogen-rich drinking water.

After investing in my health and this business, my mom joined too because she saw the connection of water quality to holistic health. We were so excited to be working together as we always knew we would some how some way but never did we think this direct sales business model paired to sustainbility and health would be it. My mom had the brillian idea to start a podcast to spread the word about what we had found, so we did! The Magical Holistic Healing Arts. We interview different practioners of holistic healing and talk about raising your vibration and drinking living water! We are on YouTube and all podcast streaming apps.

Regardless of what you are selling, sales is sales. The top four things I have learned that have leverage my business the most are it takes consistency, listening ear, follow ups and lots of graitude for the journey. It is a skill I am constantly learning and I love it. Consistency in all areas of your life will get you to your goals and dreams, doesn’t matter what you are doing! Asking questions, getting curious with your leads, getting to know them and listening to their “issues” is how you become a great sales person. Listening with your heart and being in service instead trying too hard to make the sale. “The fortune is in the follow up,” and it is so true. You can loose a lot of your leads and sales if you are not organized and keeping track of them. And of course, gratitude. You can’t get to where you want to go if you can’t appreciate where you are and I truly believe and live by that. I am grateful everyday that I get to work with my mom, help people with their health, help the planet with less plastic consumption and be abundant while doing it!

I want the world to know what you can do anything you want you just have to start. People might call my mom and I crazy for investing six figures into our health but does your health have a price? It was also an investment into a business. The products we endorse are medical grade and can last up to 25+ years with reasonable maintence. Equipment and innovation that will last you longer than a car! Stop buying water at the store, contriubting to the waste and dehydrating your body. This water ionzier is truly incredible and helps so many people around the world. I want people to start living a more hydrated life, a more hydrated mindset and see the world that way. I truly believe if we cleanse our bodies of the toxic overload, our life, emotions and physicallity will be overflowing in all ways. Hydrate Your Life With Us and join the Water Revolution!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Colorado is the coolest state as there is so much to do and see. Living here for six years, I can probably say I have only seen a fifth of this beautiful state. I love taking friends and family to the natural hot springs in Colorado. My three favorite sports are Strawberry Fields in Steamboat Colorado, Manitou Springs in Colorado Springs, and my new favorite, Cottonwood Springs in Buena Vista!

Manitou Springs had 7 local springs with water fountains that you could drink and fill up from. Being in the water business and being so close natural water from the Earth, it is a great site and taste to experience. Extra minerally water, straight from the Earth, sprinkled all throughout Manitou Srpings. There is the best natural make up and skin care shop called Brazen Bee on Ruxton Ave. Glitter made from mica stone and beautiful customized face oils for your needs. The Garden of the Gods is a site to see when you are down there!! My mom and I loved riding electric bikes on a 2.5 hour tour. It was a great way to experience these gigantic flat sandstone national park and explore the deep orange sand. Lots to do if you are visiting for a weekend!

Cottonwood Springs felt so relaxing and cleansing. Seeing the sun rise from the hot springs is one of my favorite moments to experience. The connection to the earth and to the water feels so strong while soaking in hot steam water straight out of the earth filled with minerals. Cold plunge and hot soaking is a really great holisitc healing practice to cleanse your blood and ramp up your metobolism. Very healing and top of my list of things to do in the winter next to snowboarding.

Steamboat is a big mountain in northern Colorado. I haven’t rode it much but when I shred, I always take in the beauty that surrounds me, the stillness and the excitment of weaving through the trees. It is such a cute town with great shops to get your next new sweater or ski bibs. Strawberry Fields Hot Springs are antoher magical hot spring experience you wouldn’t want to miss!! The designers of this place really wanted it to feel natural and “untouched.” Seeing the hot water spey from the earth and flow into these pools while ice cold water flow by right next to it.

Water is life and it is so healing to the mind, body, and spirit. Make sure the water you are drinking is good for you health because not all water is created equal! Cheers.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
When I started my business and joined the water and health revolution, I had no idea the amount of knowledge, mentorship, and wealth consciousness I was going to obtain. Joining Evolution Era, and being a big leader in building it, I give a big shout-out to all the people and all the other leaders that show up and spread the awareness of how life can look — true financial health, true physical health, and achieving time freedom. Having built a training platform from scratch, teaching ads, organic attraction marketing, building trusts, sales, and understanding life insurance, generational wealth, water education, and filtration, I wouldn’t be where I am today without this inspiring, motivating, community. It’s bigger than an online direct sales business, it is a lifestyle of like-minded individuals making a difference in the world and in people’s lives. Shout to everyone in Evolution Era making big waves and rippling around the world by inspiring a better way of life!!
